I strongly suggest the rules be enforced or they don't apply only for the privileged

Banning schedule is as follows:

1st violation - 1 month banning
2nd violation - 3 month banning
3rd violation - 6 month banning
4rd violation - BANNED FOR LIFE

if that is the only one you see then it would seem to me that you have a personal thing against the good Cap'n

he is a long time contributor and active member of the community

as far as banning over a sig? that seems pretty extreme to me, a better solution is to disable the person's sig completely after multiple warnings
