Haha, you're going to want to get your private pilot license and then your instrument rating. Not sure you're going to be overly "impressed" by owning a single engine piston airplane in most parts of the country

But, you can get a TBM or a PC12... but that's going to require a few more bucks.

I've had three. First was a '67 Piper PA-28/140, second was a Pulsar XP, third was a Glasair 1 that I got completed to about 65%, then converted it to a down payment on my house 20 years ago.

I was also a military Air Traffic Controller.

And the prices you're looking at, I believe are per-hour rental prices.

Where did you get that 500 euro for a PPL, PPL in Europe cost between 5k to 12k depending on country.

And a decent used Cessna will set you back around 150k euro anything less will be a mechanic hog

I set out for a commercial license in the early 70's. Back then the airlines did not like re-training military pilots. Shortly thereafter, the Viet Nam war ended and dumped a huge surplus of military pilots on the market. I was told it would take 10 years for the market to absorb these pilots. It turns out that was a pretty accurate prediction. So I moved on to something else, but never lost the fun of flying. My Cessna 150 back then cost $5k. Don't know what it's worth now.

I took a few intro lessons in a Cirrus 12 years ago... They were trying to sell me hard on a license package but it wasn't really my thing and impossible to justify.

Ultra Light licenses are easy to get, less hours are needed, you dont need medical clearances but you can only fly these planes, during the day, in good weather, at lower altitudes and with 1 passenger.

My partner has his yachting licence & wanted to get a pilot captains licence for a helicopter, but i hate flying so much and don´t like heights, would be pointless, so we stick to driving on land or water lol

The plane in the photo will not meet any of that. An ultralight must meet all three.

I am looking to get a pilots license for small Cesna planes this year. I fly often with a friend of mine and I love it. I have flown myself as co-pilot but never took-off or landed of course. I have no plans to buy a new plane but might pickup a used one in a few years.

If you have never flown in a small 2 or 4 seater plane before I highly suggest it. It's alot of fun.

I am just the opposite. I LOVE heights, and LOVE flying. The only part I hate about flying is the long security lines when travelling but otherwise I look forward to every flight I take.

You can now fly a 150 as an LSA under the updated FAA rules

So as long as you don't get your medical taken away, you could let it expire and keep flying under LSA guidelines.

Why the attitude?

Pilots generally like to help those interested in flying. You posted a complex aircraft and labeled it as an ultralight, so I tried to help...

The other plane you posted is pretty, but get some training. Ask for spin training, as it's not usually included in sport pilot or private pilot certificates.

The first time you're testing the flight envelope in your new-to-you sport plane and you see how it handles a stall and you experience a wing drop and spin, if you're not trained you'll become a lawn dart.

You'll likely be practicing touch and goes with your instructor and after landing he'll jump out of the plane and tell you to keep going. It's a surprise move. Um, not quite. There's a "list of things" you have to do and meet.

How things are structure will depend if it's a part 61 or part 141 school/program. The time requirements are also dependent on wether it's 61 or 141.

But, when you're instructor feels like the student is ready, the student will go up into the pattern and do a feel laps solo.
