I have 5 kids various ages 16 - 14 - two 10 and a 7 year old.

Very proud dad here and difficult starting the day without surprise hugs an kisses much less the times we chill and talk about their lives. BTW - apparently I've practices my whole life to be master of the dumb dad jokes It's a daily thing that keeps them smiling.

No matter how tough my day has been - putting them down for bed always warms my heart and makes me feel positive for the next day. I'll miss them when they move out.

From someone who's done all that when younger - you'll eventually see that the lifestyle you have embraced is also soulless and lame. I married 3 times in my life and fortunately at 62 have the right woman that I've been married to for longer than most and 5 kids. This is meaningful and brings true happiness. Single can do that as well - but after a while you do get tired of the same shit all the time as you grow older.
