I saw a Cyber Truck in real life and damn!
I looks so much better on the internet. In real life, it's was the biggest, ugliest shit I've ever seen. It looked so stupid parked near other cars. But I understand why people are buying them; because I wanted one. The hype got me too; but it was the years of delays that backed me down; plus Elon initially said the basic model would cost under 40K. WTF happened to that? Click the link to see his price quote on this video : https://youtu.be/m7atGkba-Z8?feature=shared&t=204 |

				 | I've see one up close and thought it looked very cheaply made with poor sheet metal tolerances. Also the huge plastic wheel covers looked terrible. The buil quality on other Tesla vehicles seems much better |

				 | someone I know posted a pic of a slightly compressed dumpster bin with wheels. so apt I just wish they hadn't fixed the hood auto-closing problem so one could at least still peel and chop carrots on them

				 | Something about not having a mechanical steering connection, I think, is a reaaaallllly bad idea. Does it have regular hydraulic brakes? I hope those aren't "brake by wire" too! |

				 | Should be interesting to see what happens with the Cybertruck over the next 10 years... From watching Hoovie's garage, WhistlinDiesel, and a ton of other YouTubers talk about the Cybertruck and rant and rave about it, I'd say the Cybertruck's pros and cons are as follows: Cons: -Looks crazy -Cheap plastic body parts -Sharp edges on self-closing doors and such -Terrible rear visibility -Not very good headroom in the back -Does being a truck "differently" Pros -Looks crazy -High tech -Fast -Does being a truck "differently" -Is 100% American innovation I've heard Tesla guys say "Every airplane you go on is fly-by-wire and there is no mechanical connection", yeah but, they all have hydraulic manual backup controls, right? But the Cybertruck doesn't... the steering wheel is just a joystick basically?! |

				 | Given the blatant disregard Tesla has for safety and build quality, comparing them to airplanes is hilarious. |

I saw some clip where some dude had a nasty gash on his leg from bumping into it. My inner child totally thinks the Cybertruck is super cool... But the adult side of me thinks things like no mechanical steering is cwazy... | |

				 | But muh spaceman bad When I had an audi tt, before it became a chic car, it was a concept car much like the cyber truck. Some people aren’t ready for it. If it was 45k we’d all have one. Yup, we would.

				 | The Audi TT was great, before I chose my S2000, I test drove an Audi TT, a Subaru STI, and an Evo... S2000 was just too sweet with the 9000 RPM redline. Props to Tesla for building something unique... most cars look soooooo alike. Go to any mall parking lot in Canada and 98% of vehicles are black, white, or grey, and they all look the same... |

				 | I've had a reservation since the first few months of being able to order it. I'm still getting it. Works great for my tiny house. I can run to the super charger and fill up the CT then come back and top off the battery banks on the tiny house any time solar doesn't cover. As a trans woman I hate Elon for being a butthurt tool about his trans daughter. But also as a trans woman I want the bullet proof panels and bullet resistant glass. The 17" lift at the touch of a button, and it being faster than most things on the road. I'll be polishing the sides myself, and wrapping the top from the bottom of the windows up glass black and hot pink. I won't have my financing in place for a few years, they offered me the foundation series so far and not doing that at 118k. I am getting the Beast version but within 2 or so years the prices are going to come way down, the battery pack cells are likely to be different, and the bugs will be worked out. I think if Elon hadn't turned into right wing bigot boy, that a lot more people would be supporting the CyberTruck than hating on it. I honestly can't wait to get mine, and hope the hate has subsided by then. |
