Hey I have the complete ground school DVD's from King Schools sitting right here on my desk.

All 8 dvd's, the binder, and the book that comes with it. They work on your computer or dvd player, shows the lesson then gives a quiz at the end. I got a 98% on my written exam with this.

Its this one here
http://www.kingschools.com/productDe...20PPEC%20DVDPC

I paid $280 + shipping, you can have mine for $200 with free shipping.

Let me know

Oh, and stay away from those kit planes untill you have a few hundred hours experiance, I almost got killed in my Pulsar.

I got my private in 2000.. I have about 270 hours or so.. I'm going to finish up my instrument rating one of these days.

The King Videos are pretty good. Just keep flying and building experience.

On another note. I recommend going to a ground school that spans a week or so with classes daily instead of the 10 week long (once a week) course.

Where do you live and what kind of flying do you plan on doing?

My Pulsar had trike gear... and I had about $35k in it, so I dunno about being cheap. But it would cruise 120mph on 66hp burning about 5 gallons per hour. Weighed 480 pounds empty and would roll and turn like a fighter. Sure was a sexy little airplane, but the fuckin thing gave no warning before it would stall, and had a small rudder, spin recovery was a fuckin scary ordeal. Its Vne speed was 150mph, and it was so slippery that you had to plan your approaches cause once you point it down, its picking up speed in a hurry. Sold it to a guy in Minnesota, he sent me the money after just looking at pictures of it in email.

the d8 im building is only $5k+engine/instruments
depending on what you chose rotax or vw, it can be flown as an ultralight.
it cruises at 95mph with a wing chute, fairly safe, just dont to/land in any crosswind, one guy hit a tree
