Capture Card
I bought a Video capture card today and would like to know if there's any good programs out there to use for my captures! I currently use "ATI Multimedia and MGI VideoWave II" But everytime I start capturing a scene there appears a green line on the top of my screen, why does that happen, is it the program I use or what?

Try and check out the Htlp file / FAQ / or Trouble shooting sections. They should have some advice about that.
I've been out of the capture card scene for a while now. My matrox whatever is over a year old. Anyone know if the latest breed of capture cards have hardware MPG2 encoding built in? So that you can record MPG2 in real time. The problem with my Matrox is that you are forced to capture in MJPG and that eats up some serious space. Then if you want it in MPG2 you gotta spend time converting it. What I want to do is turn my system into one of those Tivo recorders. It might be possible with the card I have now, but it's going to be a pain converting the stuff over to MPG2 or some other clear, compressed format. |

I haven't used the program yet, but I have Adobe Premiere. I think it does video capture.
If you have mac try to get Final Cut Pro. If you have PC try to get Media 100. I'm sure demo versions are available online if you know where to look. |
