How can you ask countries to respect international laws and treaties if yourself claim that NO ONE can tell you what to do? What kind of credibility do you have when you ask certain countries to respect treaties when it comes to biological warfare for exemple.. how can you tell those countries that this is NOT the right way to protect themselves!??? My my, what a short memory you have; if you recall it really didn't matter who one voted for in the 2000 election; the candidate that won the popular vote didn't get in office. And you're not going to tell me you think that porn will be targeted as harshly during a Kerry administration as it would under a Bush administration, are you?

What I meant by that is these laws do not target cp criminals; pedos don't have established business venues (at least in this country) where they can be inspected for record keeping compliance. Only mainstream producers would have such records or could be tracked down with any ease. Only mainstream producers would have a website with high visibility; I'm guessing the cp crowd is setting things up on geocities, file sharing networks and the like. To be honest, I really don't know; but I I've never come across anything on a root .com extension that looks like genuine cp.

So yes, these laws allow the AG to harass legitimate producers under the guise of "hunting down criminals" in order to further his own religious/moral agenda. If his intentions are being hidden by using rapists and pedophiles as an excuse, doesn't that essentially mean he's working in collusion with them to an extent? He's allowing them to create a diversion from his true intentions of banishing porn completely.

See above. This law has nothing to do with protecting minors, that is merely a BS 'mission statement' that doesn't put on paper their already STATED intention of getting rid of porn. Giving the government the ability to send producers to prison for 5 years over clerical errors such as mispelling a name does nothing to protect children. Creating such a paperwork fiasco so as to drive legitimate producers out of business does nothing to protect children. Wake the fuck up, when idiots start spouting nonsense about "they're doing it to save the children", whatever "it" is, chances are they are seldom doing it for the reasons they are stating.

I've never thought that was the reason these revisions were drafted, nor did I say that I believed it was the reason. It is however a reality that will unfold if the legislation goes into effect. Do you really think there's going to be a short line for goverment workers signing up to go 'work' on 'inspections' at porn studios? And whose money do you think is going to pay for this? Taxpayers from some other country???

Arent alot of the people bush targets people with money, ie the big people in porn? I mean people who make over 100k a year, alot of people on this board probably do that, or at least claim to.
