Look at the thread title for fucks sake. The plot is clear. Use members as pawns to constantly "up" this thread, allowing you to "present your for sale" on page eight - To about twelve readers total. 3. casino customer have a very large market value, aquire a customer and he could be worth a million dollars depending on how much he loses, your is not egolf.com which could be used from everything from selling equipement to signing people up (green fees) it is restricted to a subsection fo the market which makes long term value of the customer a lot smaller.

4. you lost the sayable value becuase e sounds like d, b, me, g, see, c excetera). This is a much better indicator of weather or not a domain is brandable. especially if you take into account that page jacking sites change to feed overture results whenever direct type in fail (most likely those 93 people were individuals who had spyware and who typed ecasino.com which failed to resolve directly into the browser address bar.

I agree with you that eCasino.com can not be compared (in value) with eGolfshop.com. I never said that, I just wanted to make the point that an e in front of the name is not that uncommon as you would make use to believe.

Another important point is that Golf is:

1. Booming business. Everyone wants to golf nowadays.
2. There is a lot of money in the golf business. Something like eBikeshop.com is a whole other thing because of this.

But hey, I'm the one that got stuck with the domain, so relax and I also never said how much I wanted for it. I just illustrated my msg with the proGolfshop.com example.

Hey just want to make it clear i am not trying to claim that the domain is worthless far from it it a good solid domain probably worth 300 -500 easy. The only reason i would not buy it at that price is i don't know /don't like golf enough to develop it.

I just had a problem with your point of references. There are good things about that domain.

1. it short (one letter plus 2 words)
2. both words are key words that are searched for so it could be optimized easily for traffic regarding those words
3. there is a reasonable number of searches for that keyword

and assuming you can prove your claims about the market potential you can add another point about monitary value of the customer. That would require research and when a person buys the domain they are


The concept of brandable domain names has been over used. The fact is any domain name is brandable even non existant words like google are brandable. If you have enough money, or some really cool technology that attracts traffic absolutely any domain name is brandable (even FPAsearch.com )

the question how expensive is it to brand. Domains that meet the three S (sayable, Searchable, Spellable) are best because they can be branded afforable (cheap advertising like radio), easy to find when they gain success (searchable) and don't bleed traffic to typo etc.
