So this morning I get a call from a guy looking to invest in doing a porn video. He is speaking fluent parisian french so I secretly groan thinking this is going to be a waste of time.

(I'm not trying to slam the french but France is famous for paperwork, a thousand questions and going no-where fast.)

I take a deep sigh and figure what the hell. I've got nothing better to do today and I tell the husband to get his ass our of bed, we have work.

I go to meet this guy at his bucher shop. It turns out he is Arabic and has been living in France for 2 years and it was his son I spoke to on the phone.

To make a long story short,

His wife served us coffee, we spoke for 20 minutes and he gave us (IN CASH) 15k euro!

All we had to do was sign 1 acknowledgement for the money and what it was supposed to be used for.

But the best is when I came home. There are 3 messages on my machine of other Arabic men that want to discuss making porn movies.

You know I have often been quoted as saying I adore the immigrant communiteis of France. I have not found anywhere in the world where they are so vibrant and alive. But today, this just made me smile so damn wide my face hurts.

So I guess I will have to visit the middle east, one day.

I live in France and I have no problem with Arabs. The problems we have in our ghetto lands is not related to Arabs only but to french, Spanish, black and Arabs POOR and BAD EDUCATED peoples. there's nothing who look more than an Arab than another Arab and we, white people, can't make the difference between a good and a bad one.
The other huge problem is they are making 15 kids per family while we have a average of 2/3 kids..... So after 2 or 3 generations they will be the new majority.

To go back to your story, do you think this money is legal? it's maybe a way to clean dirty $$$. ( dope, prostitution, etc...) It's really strange that someone not in the biz is ready to start right away with such a big amount...

And here lies the problem with France. The paranioa! I have never been in a country that is so determined to operate a RISK FREE business.

EG: It is the reason immigrants die in fires because they can't rent an apartment without 3 months security plus 6 months worth of pay stubs and a co-sigher. This is the reason why IBM is pulling out of France. It is the reason France is a non-contributor to the E.U. in some sectors.

they are coming from a 3 world country and try to live in a cyber modern society. this is where the clash is. I remember when they first came (I'm 44 years old) they were ignorant to the french/modern society and were real happy to do the shitty job that all french peoples refused. Because they were paid more than a first minister in their own country.

their kids consider themselves as french, most of them do not speak Arab fluently and they hate going in vacation in they origin country, nothing to do, only sheep, camel, desert and fuckin muezzin. They want the modern society but they are not educated enough to perform well so they turn paranoid and see racism everywhere. it's a question of time, but yes we are in a tricky period of our history and from all of us depend the future. it's a fight between ignorance and intelligence. old and modern time, poor VS rich. they want their peace of the cake too. We have to teach them how to have it. The other solution will be to kill them all......... but it's not politically correct. Too bad.
When the Front National (Lepen's Party) was elected in 2 or 3 town halls they didn't do shit. They did the same as the other ones. Rubbing money and wanted to be reelected. Up to that time Lepen represented a "solution" but after that....... just words.

Let me state for the official record that I LOVE France! It is a wonderful place to live and when you find good people they are phenominal! The art, culture, etc is beyond anything I could hope to experience in North America.

Now both my husband and I learned how to hunt and fish at an early age and grew up in cold remote areas. So we have two sayings that are completely contradictory to the above.

I am from Paspebiac, Quebec. In the Gaspesie region!

And if you know anything about the Gaspesie, we are notorious for speaking differently and the people of Paspebiac are famous in the Gaspesie for speaking differently then most in the Gaspesie.

Now I love Montreal and I lived there for 2 years. But I am NOT a Montreal'r. And furthermore you are still a True Frenchman. You said so yourself, "When I got back." These means you were always from France. That makes it your peers that poking fun at you.

Try it when they are strangers doing it.

Add to this that it would appear that every True Frenchman of France appears to know Montreal and Quebec City. They are quick to argue that I must not be Quebecoise because I don't sound like a Montreal'r.

And there are so few people in France that will bother to listen when you try to explain that Quebec is roughly 2-3 times the size of France and aproximately only 6 million people in the entire province. There is alot of room for dialects to develop independantly.

As for my husband. It would appear that many people here don't even bother to want to acknowledge that Acadiens exist. The moment he says a word like " L'fun " they treat him like the dogs dinner.

No one, absolutely no one enjoys being laughed at or made fun of. Especially when there is nothing you can do to change the way you are. I can not change the way I speak no matter how hard I try.

Again I state I love France. But there is a very ugly side to many of the

I had an hard time to go back and sincerly I can't get along with french people to well for what I call "the rooster effect" I didn't know the "point and snicker" expression. I guess it's the same thing. Big talk, if you listen to them, they fucked all the girls in the world, and when you talk about something you did they always did better. but when it's time to do something, nobody there.
For the "point and snicker" I tell you, the only way to get raid of it is to do the same thing, like that they stop right away. If you get furious or look affected they go mad and don't stop. It's not fun it's only a technic to make them shut up. I tried the violent way... too much of a problem....
