Internet Browser help.

Why is it when i open IE, the page doesn't load right away.. its pauses for a few seconds, and it says "detecting proxy settings" on the bottem.. Then loads the page... SHould i just get Opera or something else? Can anyone help?

I wouldn't worry about it to much. Its just George Bush, coolwebsearch and a few other spyware programs logging all your interweb moves

Um... have you investigated the outside possibility that IE might be spending time detecting your proxy settings?

Open your browser, click on Tools at the top, click on the Connections tab. In the white box called Dial-Up and Virtual Private Network settings, what's in there? Mine has nothing.

On a sidenote, you should try out Firefox. I was using Netscape/MSIE for years and don't use them at all anymore. Firefox is way faster, more safe, and is actually pretty stable and bug free. I have no problems using it compared to MSIE and Netscape, which is now a bloated slug.
