Who here can teach me how to make money?

Ok here is the deal. Ive been floundering with these affiliate programs. Ive only been doing it since the end of January and so far have 12 sales. Not terribly bad I know for someone just starting out. I need to accelerate my income. My outside work is seasonal so we are tight right now. I have another thread where Ive gotten some work to surprise my wife with an anniversery gift on the 12th. That has worked somewhat, but I want to start getting a solid monthly income by working solely online.

There are alot of people who talk the talk on here, but who walks the walk?

My offer is this. If someone can take me under their wing and show me step by step how to be successful at this I will give them 35% of all profits for the next 6 months. Ill go as far as signing a contract stating this. I currently have 5 or 6 adult sites. I run mostly blogs. I have both linux based hosting, and windows based hosting. I run a windows dedicated box win2003 with IIS and php and mysql. I also have a virtual server that is run on linux. I have alot of potential and am very quick to learn. If I am making a reasonable profit at the end of the 6 months I will give the entire profit of the 7 month to you. If you know the business and are making a considerable sum yourself then you know that 35% for 6 months plus one full month profits the 7th could be a very nice chunk of change.

Im sure Ill be flamed for this and called a noob, but facts are facts and I still am a noob. Im not able to live off what Im making online atm so that does make me a noob. Im here to learn how its done, and I want to expedite the process. I will be at the Phoenix forums. That is to network further with the industry and meet people face to face. I am very serious about this. Im tired of guessing if what Im doing is working. I know also Ill have people come in and say just keep listening on the forums blah blah. Well there is so much bs on this board it is hard to decipher whats true and whats bs.

Id also be willing to work for one of the sponsors even if its at a reduced rate from what they normally pay. Like an intern. Due to my situation Im home just about everyday. So Im online alot. I do have a solid background in web development, server administration, etc etc. Someone take me under their wing with the deal I stated above, or someone hire me on. I only have so long doing this stuff and losing money at it before my wife has a fit. So take a chance on someone that is serious about this, and is willing to do what it takes to make it in this business. Thanks for reading my mini book above, and all commments are welcome. Do keep the flames to a minimum though.

Exactly. Thats why I added the incentive to it. No one wants to give away secrets for free.

Do more of whatever made you those 12 sales... you can't expect to make a ton of cash instantly in this biz (unless you really know what you're doing and have money to invest).

Alot of us do quite well, but we've been building our empires up for years and, with that experience, we are now quite good at what we do. I don't think theres really any "quick track" to learning that will benifit you, read tutorial threads and ask questions on the forums. Try http://www.newbiewebmasters.com/ ... ask questions on forums there or try the GFY "webmaster" forum instead of the general discussion one.

If you're looking for quick cash to pay the bills right away, you should probably pick up a second job. Doctor's make alot of money too, but you can't just hop into a six figure salary... the learning is the process.

Business threads are tough on this board hehe. I am talking to someone now though. Id like to get more feedback from some of the bigger money makers on the board though.

I understand its a learning process etc. My thought here is someone to guide me and make sure Im learning it correctly. That is worth money to me. Hence why I started this thread. Call it adult affiliate school.

Shooting your own original and exclusive content is king, IMO. But that doesn't sound as though that's something you want to get involved in.

You say you've only been involved in affiliate programs since January. And as much as you don't want to hear it - that's a VERY short period of time. Momentum is one of the keys to increased revenues.

Offering a percentage of your income for the next 6 months is fine and someone may just take you up on it. But its just as much a gamble for them as it is to you - considering they don't know your level of diligence and stick-to-it ambition. They may take the time to impart their knowledge on you...but if you're not able to capitalize on it for one reason or another, its a losing proposition for them as well.

I've been in the industry over a decade, work at it full time these days...and most of the time it covers our mortgage, vehicle payments and keeps the food on the table. But it has its up and down trends - sometimes it can be feast or famine depending on any number of factors.

But then again - we produce, market and distribute all our own original content. And its taken a lot of years to make our name familiar.

Best of luck in your endeavours. Your post sounds as though you're earnest and sincere at least.

you can't just hand somebody a winning ticket as to how to make money on the internet. unless you want to give away your own method of making money. which in turn would most likely take $$ from your pocket.

unless you have a bit of change to invest into this biz. while already holding enough knowledge as to how to make money in this industry. then you pretty much have to do trial and error grunt work like the rest of us did when we first started out.

id get a real job and do this as a hobby until you know what your jumping into. because there is no overnight success in this industry. its 16-20 hour days of head pounding hard work at times. too much competition to be able to just jump in and make stacks like the big dogs. you gotta put in work just like everyone else had to.

I actually did one paysite already and had the girls flake on me so it never officialy launched. Im working with a new girl and have a great idea and plan for the site, but we will see how that goes. Theres alot of variables in that.

After the first failed paysite my goal was to hit the affiliate side of it and learn that while hopefully banking revenue and having the funds necessary to do the next paysite the way I wanted to and having the proper equipment and financial backing to not be worried about the small stuff. Paysite production is my eventual goal though.

you have to decide what path you want to take , the slow path to big success or do you just need to get money in your pocket..?

I already work that as I run a small webhosting/gameserver hosting company and web design company. I do have a fulltime job, but its seasonal so I wont have alot of work for another month or two. My wife works days and I watch our kids. If I have to work days for my other job I get a babysitter, but most of the work I do for them is at night. I have tons of potential I just need guidance, and am willing to compensate for that guidance.

I want to get enough money put aside so I can start a few good paysites up and do all the content for them etc. I have several people that work with me also. We do webdesign projects etc and we are good at it. So the paysite design and all that goes with that isnt a concern to me. My main issue I guess is the marketing and ability to get conversions on the affiliate side.

Just enhance what you're doing. There's no single magic trick. The diversity of how people make money on GFY is huge.

I could be wrong but anyone who knows what they're doing isn't going to do the same for you and give up 65%. You'll end up getting someone who probably doesn't know what they're doing. Better to just ask for advice and do it yourself.

As a little timeframe insight for ya' regarding the above...

We started our first one as a freesite (on GoCasino hosting) back in '99. I'd been creating content for it since approx. 1995, so we already had a good stockpile of content. I'd also been posting a lot of our work on Usenet and various venues for years, so our stuff was fairly well known before we even launched the site. Both my wife and I worked full-time jobs at the time, and we invested money outta pocket to continually upgrade our gear (cameras, props, etc.)...while doing most of our own modeling.

We switched gears and went paysite format in 2000 with webhosting based on revshare. We expanded the following year with a second paysite (male bondage & fetish) and about six months after that we began making some decent revenue returns, much of which we sunk back in to camera upgrades, new models and more equipment.

By 2002 I quit my other job and took over the websites full-time...my wife continues working her other full-time job these days as well (she likes the company she's with).

To make a long story short (too late, I know )...works out to roughly 3 years before the momentum really began paying off for us.

How'd you make the 12 sales?

p.s. why do you need a dedicated box at this stage?

I hear ya there. I know its a long struggle for the paysite side, and it will take some time for the affiliate side too. Im willing to stick it out, I just dont want to waste time doing things the wrong way.

To be honest most of the sales were luck due to a free link submision I did that got nearly 40k hits in less than 48 hours. I do get from 300 to 500 daily uniques to my main blog www.faptown.com Most of those hits are search engine and link trades Ive made.

The dedicated box pretty much pays for itself with my small amount of webhosting and gameserver hosting I do. I dont pay a large sum for it, so its not that large of a problem at the moment.

As they say - sometimes there's a shabby nobility in the trial-and-error phase.

We had no template or guidelines. We just made it up as we went along. One part luck, one part intuition...and sometimes two steps backward, too.

Thats how Ive been doing it so far I guess. Maybe Im just frustrated. I think part of it is my uniques to my sites vs. uniques to sponsors are I think low. I dont know, but I dont want to fail at this, so willing to do whatever I can.

They are all fuckin snakes in this game.

The tune of " well you need to build yourself up" or "it takes time" is a load of fuckin bullshit.

they wont tell you publically how they do it because 8 out of ten times , they make it by fucking someone in the ass without grease.

You want solid advise....

1. find a niche that isnt fuckin flooded.
2. snap your own pics.
3. sell your own shit.
4. dont be dumb enough to buy traffic.

PERIOD.

Then come back here and sell your shit to these crooks.

if your willing to die of cancer by being radiated by ur p.c. , then the same way u made ur beginner sales, do the same exact shit. just mulitply that by what about amount you want to make.

all this shit of teens, big tits, camel toes, blondes on black dick or amateur this or that is all fuckin plaid out.

only people making the money ARE the companieS processing payments.
everyone else is busy buying and selling from each other.

wanna know what this board is about?

its about taking ideas from people.
its about seeing what people think, what direction they want to go in...etc etc

on a different post, some dude said i searched for a domain name, when i went back to claim it, it was unavailable.

well no fuckin shit. THE GAME IS DIRTY.

simplicity ALWAYS works best.

dont let these fools take ur cash, sell u dreams, then turn u into a fuckin slave for them .

The difference between us is we started out mostly as a lark, with no expectations of anything. It was just a natural transition for us from BBSes to the web that became a viable moneymaker.

I started out pushing porn too but it just didn't work for me so I started to push adult dating and have been successful ever since.

The money is owning and knowing where to sell the content. The internet is just a very, very small % of it.
