You're developing webmaster syndrome. Panic attacks, nights & days mixed up, growing number of phobias, need to drink and so on.

Could be related to the smoking thing, but I'm not a doctor.

If you're at the panic attack level then go to the ER.

Other reasons to go to the ER include

hard to breath
chills then sweats.
pains in joints such as your wrists or elbows
numbness in your arms esp left arm (but either one can be heart related)
pain in the center of your back between should blades
nausea
an unexplained fall
chest pain
tightness in chest
tightness in jaw (includes whole gum line)
rapid resting heart beat (over 90 per minute)

The more symptoms the greater the reason to go the ER now. I'm not a doctor. I have had two heart attacks and bypass surgery. That doesn't make me an expert.

Best to ya. Get some exercise every couple hours. We can live with 20 fewer posts a day.

Wish you the best.

A little story, please take the time to read.

My first heart attack. I didn't realize I was having one! Hell I was only 38! Had the sweats and chills at some aches in my writs and tightness in my jaw. Also had some pain in the center of my back. No chest pain, no left shoulder like ya hear about. I kinda stumbled going up the stairs to the bedroom. I thought I had the flu or something. Just didn't feel right.

I kept rationalizing it and the next morning I was better, but something in me said something wasn't right. So I stopped at one of those Med First places. Not even sure they're still open. It was a chain of clinics to handle minor emergencies.

Anyway I explained to the doctor and she threw me down on a table and did an EKG and told me that I already had suffered a heart attack and there was damage. She wanted me in an ambulance. I said no way and called my secretary to drive me to the ER.

The short version is that I blew artery as in not repairable and damaged my aorta - a quarter to a third is dead tissue they say. I ended up in the hospital for 10 days Recovered enough to perty much lead a normal life. Had to do rehab and now I see the doctor every three months.

Oh, I was a smoker, they said not anymore.... I also drank heavily. They suggested strongly that I cut back... I still drink, just not as much.

BTW - if I would have gone to the ER the night before I would have prolly avoided the damage to my aorta.

that sucks I've went through hell with them panic attacks, not anyone but myself could help me.. 1 day outta the blue I got hit by one hard, swear to god I thought I was going to die, after 2 hours at the doctors they say I was fine & nothing was wrong with me "I lived in a small town with helpless doctors". I was scared and knew I was not fine, every time I felt something about my body changing I would freak out and an have another panic attack, I was always expecting that same shit all over again.. got so bad that the one and only time I ever came mins away from killing myself over. I really thought I couldn't handle it anymore. thou I toughed it out and after 6 years of that I don't get them anymore, and if I ever did, I've learn to cope with it.

they always started from having trouble breathing, felt like my throat was getting tight, and than I keep taking deep breaths, than my heart would start racing making it harder for me to breathe, I would get cold and very weak.

and everytime one would pass, I'd hide it from people. I felt like if I spoke about it, it would only bring the subject up and make me worry more.

Ive read about this subject more than I've read about seo

when I quit smoking I felt that way too... Not to say thats what it is... but could just be having you on edge a bit... I quit in the summer and the air was pretty dry and I used a humidifier for awhile too... Not sure if thats what my sore throat was or if that was quitting smoking... I had a lot of acid refux too at first too which could have been it... dunno.

If its overly bothersome then it wont hurt to see a dr for sure... Even just a quick "doc in the box" walk in type place... theyll check your throat and maybe give you something to ease the edge while your quitting....

Just my 2 cents... good luck man... Chill and dont keep thinking about it all... And like all others here, we're not doctors so a quick visit wouldnt hurt. Could be something like allergies or something too (tis that season here )

You need to quit drinking first off. It is a quick fix only and you can become dependant on it to relieve the feeling of anxiety. Easy to get hooked. Get some ssri's from the doctor. Quit drinking coffee too.

Pounding heart beat? Shortness of breath? Feel like you arrent getting enough oxygen? Do you pace the floor and can't sit down? Feel like something bad is about to happen? bla... bla.. bla...
I have to live with that shit!
Xanex will paralyze the symptoms. However since you don't have any take an aspirin just to be safe. It's more than likely anxiety/panic disorder specially at your age. But get it checked out anyway because heart problems have similar symptoms. Heart problems are not very likely though, and the fear of heart problems is another symptom of classic anxiety so don't stress it too much! It's likely classic panic disorder.

Stop Drinking and get some rest. Tuff it out and sleep.

The Doc might give you some pills though, thats the good side.

VERY cold drinking water helps a lot. Specially with panic. Drink a glass of water full of ice cubes.

Go outside. Who cares if it is raining? Drive, walk, cab somewhere and go be 18.

Panic attacks are chick things. If you are having them at 18 you need to start living life a little. Remember that one time you got laid? If you go outside, it might happen again.
