Bush preparing to stretch the truth again

Bush is going to announce that the "US will reduce troops in Iraq by 30,000". fine print: 1) if it happens, it will be next summer 2) if conditions permit 3) if conditions aren't favorable or problems continue, then the withdrawl will disappear. Basically, Bush is going to attempt to curry favor with the citizens by announcing this week something that may not happen for 8 months or may not happen at all. Anyone think he is trying to drop a "military bomb" into the middle of the 2008 Presidential race? A nice July or August present for the republicans. |

Silentknight, I think history will look back at this President as the man who threw away peace and replaced it with a long, protracted, and unwinnable war... the man who took the only truly democratic super power and flushed it.
