I just wish hollywood could come up with a new story. It's a copy of this movie http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Las...281964_film%29

I wish they hadn't come out with a second trailer that reveals way too much. I hate it when a preview reveals too much of the plot. I would far rather have much of a movie be a total surprise. I like getting teased ;)

getting teased is nice, but their were complaints that the first trailer was like getting goosed on the subway, lol.

it's based on a book, and they've actually tried 3 times to get the series on film, and it's always been a disaster before now.

The really sad part is that the movie was already remade once. They called it The Omega Man, with Charlton Heston as the lead. That was a great movie, if you like cheesy sci-fi stuff like me.

Originally this (second) remake was supposed to have Arnold Swarzenegger in it. I guess that would have been OK if it had come out about 10 years ago.

I also liked the Chalton Heston version a lot. I remember the black woman he banged (I just looked it up and I think she was played by Rosalind Cash) was one of the first nudity scenes I ever saw as a kid. Ah, the memories...

Yeah I saw that one too, Charlton Heston did a good Job, they made a big deal about his black girl friend in the movie

I agree with you completely, and since I rarely make it out to theatres anymore, that usually isn't much of a problem. The thin line between making fans anticipate vs. showing too much ... or in the case of "300" a movie that contained scenes specifically for the trailer.

Cloverfield is interesting in trying to show trailers that really tease you - a monster you never see. And the only ad I saw for I Am Legend just hinted poor Will wasn't alone (but gives no idea "what" else is out there).

In DVD quality!
Speaking of which, I really enjoyed this movie. Although I'd have liked some things answered, such as the trap in the puddle with the taxi. Did he set it and forget it? Did the monster people set it?
There were just some minor things like that.

I just got done watching it about 10 mins ago and you'll notice that when he got free from it you can see the one smart one let the dogs go from inside the building . that tells me he set the trap and was waiting for night to collect him.

That's the impression I got as well, but then I thought to myself, why wouldn't the guy question it? Why would he log in his records that he purposely exposed himself to light, but not log that he had the intelligence to set the same trap after seeing it?
Why wouldn't he at least just say "They can't do that!" ?

Know what I mean?

i don't think him saying it was necessary . you can see the smart monster in the building releasing the dogs he had on leashes . he was sitting there waiting for the sun to go down so he could get him. that pretty much says he set it..

The CGI monsters ruined the movie. It had some good suspenseful parts but once you see the monsters it totally ruins it. They looked just too damn CGI.
Not to mention there are some pretty big plot holes in the film. When he almost dies on the pier and he is saved by the lady, where the hell were they hiding? Were they just siting there all night in a car? and the didn't get attacked? and she didn't know how to mask the smell to keep them from attacking? and they survived years without knowing how to fight the monsters? During the attack on the house she just cowered under a desk. She survived 3 years by hiding under desks?
I liked the look and the first 30-34 minutes was good. I liked it right up until he caught the first creature. Once I saw the first creature clearly the movie started to go downhill for me.
