I have a question. After someone registers on this board, how long does it take to have the account activated from the moderation queue to be added to the forum?

It used to be as soon as you confirmed through your email address.

What is so fucking crazy, is she registered, created user name and password....gets the confirmation email and goes through the process and gets a message that she is awaiting to be approved. Not only that, in the email, they use her user name, but give her a passowrd that is not the one she registered with. Is this normal? I don't remember going through this when I registered.

It's normal.

You registered 3 years ago. A lot of shit has gone down here in that time frame. New rules, new procedures, new mods, etc...

To my understanding, there is now a que that people go into and need to be approved.

People have had to e-mail Eric to get approval.

My guess is it is now in place to check IP's and stop shitheads like DarkJedi, fluffy, and other asshats who get banned and come back with 600 fake nicks.

I registered couple months ago and I could not post since I was not approved. I got tired and didnt come back till a week ago and my account still was not approved. I used the contact us link to send a message to the admin and he approved my account, but yeah took couple of months....
