Designers - Step In, Pull Up A Char & Talk To Me...

Have you ever purchased solo girl content photographed specifically for designers of adult sites to use in their work? Ya' know...full length shots, clean white background, variety of dressed & undressed shots, a variety of poses, hi-rez etc..etc?

I was thinking about possibly shooting some of this kinda stuff on our CaptureGirls shoots but was curious if there is a market for it.

Thoughts?

possibly good idea, however... it can sometimes be hard to even get good content from those in need of designs, let alone purchase high quality stuff for it hehe ;)

Matrix Content from the beginning always did 'design sets' against white backgrounds - i am sure they were very big sellers because those images have been used on a ton of paysite tours and promo materials and I still see them used today. I'm not sure if they still do them - it's no secret that Matrix photography took a big step backwards when Robbye Bentley left. I haven't seen a new Matrix white background 'design set' in ages.

I think it's a good idea Dean.

I would advise to do it on occasion.

and if you do these design sets - costumes/themes are important. so go here
http://www.lingerie4wholesale.com and get some costumes at the lowest prices you'll find anywhere.

Because design sets are mostly used for advertising/promo costumes are important - it makes it easy for a designer/marketer to create a catchy 'creative' - pirate, schoolgirl, Christmas, Halloween, Valentines, Genie, and on and on

I think it is a GREAT idea !! I get several clients a week asking if I have content for the design, and would love to send them to you. Having them buy the quality you have to offer would make any of the design that much more appealing. And as Mutt said costumes and all would be great too !!

It would be a really cool idea to offer a package with several different models looking into the camera sexy and on white backgrounds. I'm always looking for great content to work with to make my design that much better...

People use models in their tour designs that aren't on the site?

I don't do adult design(except for my own sites)-have done mainstream, but either way, I am not that good...but I have purchased matrix content for games I have made-loved their white background stuff...last time I looked, which was a long time ago, they had the models for the white background already masked out. But the thing was, and I have to imagine this goes the same for designers, is that I always would want 1 or 2 images from a set(they were sold as a set of maybe 45 pics of the same model in different poses)..so it seemed like a waste of money to buy a whole set when I was only planning to use 1-2 images... I think you would have a hit if you sold individual images with the white background(probably even cooler if they were already masked out--would be easy and quick with FluidMask) and fairly easy to set up. Since you shoot a ton already, I think it would be fairly easy to just have a white backdrop you could bring to shoots and get a few quick shots against it at the end(with a plugin like fluidmask-you wouldn't need to have the whole model in a perfectly white background...the hair is the main part, so a white sheet well lit behind the model and a bland floor would make it all easy)
just my
on a side note, I am a huge fan of your stuff

Costumes and/or niche

Great idea. I have a few suggestions:

1. Cover different niches (bondage, feet, etc.)

2. Face pics not as important (as noted, often you want your own models; but if not, a body shot, or closeup of bound hands/feet, or big breasts, etc. work nicely)

3. The more 'theme' oriented you get, the better it will probably do.

Haha, that was my first though. But I'm sure he meant mainly for non-paysite projects. It's hard to design a nice blog theme without any images, for example.

Excellent idea, I've been looking for a decent adult stock photography site for a long time

But as somebody said, as a designer you would only need a couple of images of the same model, and then a couple of images of another girl... mixed sets?

In my humble opinion it's so completely unnecessary to shoot models against a white or black background. Any designer worth their salt knows how to extract a model off any background. Often times a model shot against white leaves unfavorable highlights that require a lot more time to balance out than if shot in a more natural environment.

Also true. And if you take a picture with a model against a dark background and want to cut her out and place her on a light background, you can still see the original background color ever so slightly on the outlines, as a sort of a glow/shadow, no matter how carefully you cut her out. So I would actually prefer a neutral background, not too light, not too dark. But now I'm just going into too much detail, it doeasn't matter THAT much, and issues like that are easy to correct in PS

More important than the background is the pose anyway. Needs to be natural, and for example, if she's laying on a bed/sofa, not have the duvet/pillows cover parts of the model. But so far all the work I've seen from Dean have had no such problems, and I frequently dream about getting to work with such amazing content

I was going to suggest this exact same thing. As a designer, I would GLADLY pay $10-$20 an image if it saved me the time of having to properly remove the background. Also making sure no limbs were cropped or out of frame would be a tremendous help in being able to place the image on the tour.
