I have one of the solidstate HD TZ range.
Very lightweight, very nimble. Best laptop purchase - easily worth the premium. I've had a few laptops, and I've got high standards of - lightweight, nimble, workable. You will however, need to format them to get rid of all the sony shit. Can't speak for their other laptops - only the TZ range. |

Luckily though, the display hasn't done this in a few months. And when it did cut out, it was about 1-2 times/month. Other than the shady sony programs and display cutting out occasionally, vaios aren't too bad and they do look pretty nice. They might not be worth paying retail price for, but they sure are worth shooting for on the 'win a free laptop' sites.

Yeah, I can't speak to what they are currently producing...
But, the one I had was so horrible I will never touch a Sony ever in my lifetime. Period. Lenovo T-series all the way. I will say the Sony looked pretty - but that's about it  Good luck though! I'm sure your experience will be better than mine.
