When is the last time you went to the library?

Before the internet I used to be hooked on going to libraries in my early teen years to satisfy my urge for information overload. Then I found the joy of a dial up modem and BBS systems and then my visits to the library became less and less frequent. Then it came down to nearly only going when I needed to go to a university library to research for a paper.

Recently, I started going back and actually taking out books and found out that or local library is actually really busy most days. It is actually a pretty nice chill out zone for the time I am in there getting a book.

When is the last time you went to the library and took out a book?

Sometimes I just feel like I need to get away from the computer, so I go for a walk or to the library. They have a decent selection of magazines. I also check out a few books or DVDs occasionally. Lots of old people go there.

couple of years ago when I was in the middle of moving and my internet was not turned on in my new place. So I went to the library to use the internet.

Once a week, I reckon. I pre-order the books online and then go pick them up when I get confirmation that they're in.

I used to go all the time until I moved and it wasn't close by anymore. I love to read and I also read really fast so I go through 3 or 4 books a week. I need to start going again regardless of it being out of the way, books are an expensive habit for me.

Yup..my thoughts too. Especially when I am just curious about an author I haven't read before it is a good way to get a taster without paying.

Last week. I have a little one now and I can't see spending $20 on a 10 page children's book.

Got myself a new Library Card.

We have a beautiful library in my community, it's all artsy and cool. I should go there more often, haven't been there in a few years.

Wow. 1990 something and then I discovered Borders book stores with coffee shops inside. I am not even sure where our closest library is these days. I may have to check into that.

I go quite often as it's a nice walk from home and always love having a few books to read. also get dvds or just hang a bit and unwind.

I buy most of my books or borrow them from friends. I go through about one or two a month usually sometimes more but recently I have been off the reading train a bit.

I'm with him. I would go to the university library out of necessity, but for personal reading (both fiction and non-fiction) I go to the bookstore and drop 20 or 30 bucks. Speaking of books, I'm reading the new Horus Heresy novel from the Black Library, Mechanicum. It's fucking twisted

Im at the point where if I go into the bookstore I end up spending $100 easy and still walk out wanting to buy more. Wouldn't be that big of a deal if I didn't read all of what I bought in 5 6 days.
I really need to start going back to my local library again. I am also trying to find a local paperback trader to turn in some of my other books.
