That sucks. I had them for about 2 years and I think I ended up with about 6-7 broken or too scratched to play DVDs. I guess it isn't that bad for that period of time, but the first one is not making a good impression.

yeah it seems some of their discs are way scratched. I have also had a few times where they do not make it here, or back.

another reason I prefer pay per view type of services, no hassles.

We probably rent 3-5 a month. Can't beat the local place on Mondays where you can rent any dvd for $.99 and if it isn't new that week you can keep it for five days.

A. I dont think anyone goes to an actual physical video store any more. The thread was about NetFlix.

B. The price of going to an actual movie? Have you been to a theater since 1975?

C. $3 in gas to get to a rental store? You either live in butt fuck Wyoming or drive a Semi. And if you do live that far away from a video store then join the new world and pony up for a $10 a month NetFlix account.

Millions of people use Netflix, you can't expect them to inspect every DVD they have and make sure it works and isn't scratched to shit. Send them an email saying it's scratched and you're sending it back and would like a replacement, you'll have your new movie in a day or 2.

Granted, they can not inspect each individual DVD, but if it were my company, I would have something set up that put the DVD through a "wash" as soon as it came in.
