What motherboard would you go with?

DFI LP UT X58-T3eH8 LGA 1366 Intel X58

ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard

Any other recommendations?

DLI is good, but I would not buy ASUS because they have unique ACPI table structure in their BIOS (CPU Alias).

I have 4 GA-EX58-UD5 and Never had any issues with them. Runs smooth and if you are into overclocking you can get i7 920 and run it at 3.6GHZ on air without issues or glitches.

I would go with the ASUS, have a few machines with ASUS motherboards and I've never had a problem with them.

Fucking Asus used to be good but has been nothing but problems lately. My boyfriend builds a lot of systems and he loved Asus boards, but 4 out of his last 6 builds have been flakey and/or had compatibility issues with ram and video cards due to the mobo.

I would recommend Gigabyte over Asus anyday.

The P6T Deluxe with the i7 920 is what you want. Throw in 6GB worth of DDR3 7-7-7-20 memory as well.

Started with Asus, moved to Gigabyte when one of the Asus boards I wanted wasn't in stock. Haven't looked back since.
