playstation 3 question

ok so my old roommate moved out and took both ps3s, one of which i played on and had all my game data on it. now i have my own ps3. is there a way to get my game data from his on to mine? stuff like saved progress for games, songs for rock band, etc. thanks

you need to copy the game data files/ transfer them to your new one (best done via usb), depends on the game some let you some don't

You can't copy songs as far as I know. I had the very first ps3 which played ps2 games etc.. well, I never used that feature, and friend of mine wanted that. So he bought me a new one in exchange for that..

long story short. I had to contact sony to 're-release' my wifes singstar-songs to the new console. They're NOT 'username'-specific DRM, but console specific. So you can't redownload the songs with your username even if they 'look like you could download them'... I doubt you can copy them either..

Savedata is easy enough.
