Stock Experts

What can you guys tell me about

Ridley Inc.
(Public, TSE:RCL)

What do you think of this stock at first glance? It seems to be undervalued by quite a bit with an intrinsic value of about $17.07.

I think fairfax owns some, which is a good sign if you like them (Prem Watsa, the ceo was one of the first guys to talk about the subprime dangers and it's know as good value investor).

From your google link earnings seem ok , more less stable around 70cents for the last years, so $7-$8 price is not terribly expensive. Do you know what they plan to do in the future or what could move the price?

In the end you have to do your own research :2cents:

Fairfax does own some. I have done research and I am pretty sure it is undervalued.

TSE=Tokyo Stock Exchange
TSX=Toronto Stock Exchange

http://www.acronymfinder.com/TSE.html

looks like that stock is actually traded on the TSX, and google labeled it as TSE...
but my bad, I probably should have looked into it more closely before

I think you should look at what you are buying ridley is spread out over a bunch of countries in different markets and different share values, each is owned majority by the holding company. So your research better be bang on cause it looks to me like they would dump the Canadian subsidiary Ridley Inc. in a sec if it keeps having $52 million a year losses.

Ridley Inc. made 6 million last year. Fairfax owns 72% which I like as well. The "real" value is about $17 according to my calcs.
