Here is your LAST CHANCE to say anything on .XXX - DON'T SAY NO ONE TOLD YOU!!!

Here it is folks. It's your very last chance to stand up on your own two feet and tell the people who are going to issue this extension how you really feel about it. It doesn't mean it won't happen. They are actually unclear as to what the "public comments" will be to, only that there will be an opportunity for them as the process to issue the extension proceeds.

ICANN Delays .XXX Vote, Will Seek Public Comment

http://www.xbiz.com/news/118507

This is your very last chance. This is your very last opportunity to publicly get something on the record.

Lawley has lobbied long and hard on behalf of every single one of you that "you" do in fact want the new .XXX extension. Maybe it's time for more of you to stand up and tell ICANN that in fact you DO NOT want it, even though it will still happen.

I don't think in the grand scheme of things that it matters much anymore, I just really don't want this guy to make any more money off of the "fear buying" that will happen as people try to protect their marks and brands.

If you do not even exert the effort to make an educated, professional comment to ICANN about your feelings on the issuance of the .XXX extension then don't come to GFY bitching about it later. They're going to ask you for your comments, give them to them. Professionally and respectfully.

Good Luck!

But the Christians want to seperate the porn from other sites. Because they are simply tired of searching for "ass gaping" and not being able to find the local flower shop. The .xxx extension is a trojan under the guise of public "protection".

Why not start .kids instead? Kids don't have a choice. Adults do.

Here is one of my submissions from Mon, 08 May 2006.

.XXX is nothing more than a few select trying to make a fast buck and does nothing to protect kids or stop CP

* To: xxx-tld-agreement@xxxxxxxxx
* Subject: .XXX is nothing more than a few select trying to make a fast buck and does nothing to protect kids or stop CP
* From: Airek <airek@xxxxxxxxxxxx>
* Date: Mon, 08 May 2006 10:02:32 -0400

.XXX is about money and taking advantage of a situation, nothing more nothing less. Those behind .XXX are opportunists, nothing more nothing less. The facts are that .XXX will not protect kids from pornography on the Internet.

.XXX will not stop the bad CP people either. I am sure that ICANN has extremely intelligent people driving the ship, and can see right through the veil of "false desire" that those in favor of .XXX are painting for them. Lets hope that they are not swayed by the deceitful tactics of those who are planning to line their pockets with the results of a decision opposed by the majority in the online adult theatre.

Many online adult webmasters are afraid of the spotlight, but are greatly opposed to .XXX. Those of us who are not afraid of standing up for the rest of the industry should be counted as exponential voices for those that are not willing to publicly post their views and positions for fear of future retaliation or exploitation. For every one of us that are making public comments, there are 99 behind us that will not publicly post their opinon.

.XXX is a coup of sorts, with the full intention being greed. I have been involved in online adult marketing since 1999 and this is one of the most abhorrent displays of brute thuggery that I have had the displeasure of experiencing.

.XXX serves no positive intent.

.XXX has many detrimental ripple effects. We respectfully request that ICANN really take a look at the intentions of those behind .XXX and not allow their presented falsities and deception to sway a decision in favor of those motivated by money. .XXX is bad for everyone in so many ways. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Regards
A very concerned webmaster.

bump for exposure.

here's the link to comment.

Webmasters like to talk the "Talk"; but, do they walk the "Walk"?

This is your chance to put up or shut up.....Your name will be on the wall for all to see.

Take a minute out of you busy day and do the right thing.

Here it is.

This is from Joanne over at the FSC.

Your Public comment is critical in defeating .ICM’s .XXX sTLD!

Here’s what you can do to help:

1. Go to: http://www.icann.org/en/public-comme...options-report
2. Click on “Add a comment” in the bottom left of the screen (this should take you to an email with the recipient filled in)
3. Write “I support option # 3” in the subject line
4. Cut and paste the text below into the body of the email
5. If you are comfortable, sign your name and company name for added emphasis.
6. Click “send” and pat yourself on the back for being part of a dynamic group working to defeat ICM’s .XXX sTLD
7. Send this information to other industry professionals-we need everyone’s help!

Email Text:

I am a member of the adult entertainment industry. I support Option # 3 of the March 26, 2010 process options submitted by ICANN for public comment.

I do not support the creation of a .XXX sTLD and believe that the ICANN Board was well within its rights to deny ICM’s application in the 2007 Board meeting in Lisbon.

Regardless of the option chosen, I ask that ICANN continue to consider the widespread opposition of the sponsored community in any further decisions concerning a .XXX sTLD.

If you wish to elaborate:

Feel free to elaborate, if you like. Please be reasonably courteous and businesslike, as this is an international policy forum.

Background:

On March 26th ICANN responded to the Independent Review Panel’s Declaration concerning the challenge filed by the ICM Registry over ICANN's denial of ICM's application for the .XXX sTLD.

ICANN’s Board of Directors considered the Panel's Declaration at the Board's meeting on March 12, 2010, and directed ICANN's CEO and General Counsel to finalize a report of possible process options for further consideration, and post that report for no less than 45 days of public comment.

After carefully reviewing the process options reported, FSC strongly supports Option #3 of the three options supporting the dissenting opinion which upholds the 2007 ICANN Board decision in Lisbon denying ICM’s application of a .XXX sTLD.
