How much to set-up a ccbill paysite roughly these days?

If I were to set-up a paysite running on ccbill, how much would it cost all together roughly?

$750 ccbill set-up?
$500-1000 design
$ cms?
domain and hosting already in place.

content production and other expenses not included. adverts and traffic not included.

Any other expenses i'm missing?

Or would my guestimate of about $2000-3000 be about right for something basic?

Maybe you factored this into design, I would imagine you would want an affiliate site in addition to the main site..

750 ccbill setup fee
300-1000 for your site design
300- 500 for a nice affilaite program design
free affiliate marketing tools CMS ( CCBTools) upgrade as needed
paysite cms the price varies greatly depending on what you need
member database security is also needed

2 - 3K would definitely get you off the ground and running
Hit me up Ill give point you in the direction to save money and get off the ground right!

Your site could also use a really cool new cam program!

http://2much.net/miricam/index.php

It works with CCBill and virtually every other biller and gives your site an awesome new form of interactivity. Feels good, tastes great!

Ok i've got most of the ideas and prices figured then

CMS is the one I am struggling with. How can what is essentially a simple script cost (as an example) $500 plus $50 monthly fees? doesn't make any sense.

sounds about right without content and traffic - we budget 10-15k all in to get a site going each time

Hit me up via email if you want details. I'm letting it go cheap too. Probably for about what it would cost to lease some of the other solutions for 3 or so months.

The CCB charges are about right.

As for the content, and CMS to use. That will depend on a lot of factors. I personally would recommend a pay site tube. People have responded well to them and they are awesome if you have a lot of content.

If you are running a smaller pay site with minimal content, then SiteDepth and following the 1999 pay site design would be an alternative. Keeping the content behind the curtain as it were until you have more of it. This also requires more designer costs, since you have to use more presale/tools/tours/etc. to sell the wizard as it were.

When you have a bunch of content, and it's in a tube pay site CMS. The content and volume sells it's self. You do not need to waste money on tours, and all that shit. You just point them to your site, and give them 20-60 seconds preview (I prefer 30) and they buy or not.

Don't forget adding in a clip store option. A lot of people DO buy single clips and prefer it over memberships now a days. I have people who literally buy $100+ in clips per month instead of the $29 membership.

People who do not know how to work a clip store laugh at the business model. But it really is a solid source of additional revenue and quality buying traffic. Not everyone wants a membership and recurring billing.

Also keep in mind that SOME CMS's have annual and/or support fees. SiteDepth moved in that direction. Where MechBunny for example doesn't. You get lifetime support.

As for content, there are a TON of deals on the market. So you can get literally THOUSANDS of scenes and start a solid pay site for $3000.00. Add in some more variety, and maybe another $2000.00 and you have a solid kick ass site and content to last you years.

Good luck Simon.

Thanks man, some very good points there

How does mechbunny work as far as photos go? does it build galleries for members etc.? or is the photo area more for members to post their stuff?

I never gave it a though about using a tube script for the cms. But that could be a very good idea!

I'm guessing it's easy to integrate ccbill into the script aswell?

I built my first one for..... free. Went with a biller that didn't charge the $750, designed the first tour myself and did a static members area. Worked great for several months, for my second site I built a real cms but still did a basic shitty tour myself...

They still do upgrades, support, etc. What seems simple from outside may not be simple at all on the inside.

It all adds up to a pretty good chunk of money... although it's still cheaper than renting a storefront. :-)

ccbill is great because affiliates are used to it and more willing to try out a new ccbill sponsor with no fear of minimum payout, but that $750 is annoying. I paid it the first year when I signed on as a Canadian, and then restructured as a uk company and brought a Brit "partner" aboard.

Good point! I still don't quite get the idea behind the annoying monthly fees though. If a cms works and you are happy with it, then why should you be paying a monthly fee? I wouldn't mind buying a CMS and sticking with it for a year or 2 then perhaps go for something like sitedepth or one of the more greatly used CMS scripts and going with a monthly fee.

It would be nice if you could decide if you want support and updates rather than getting them shoved in your face to start off with.

But I will figure that bit out eventually.

Yeah I love ccBill as an affiliate, and I want to use it for my paysite.
I like your idea of using a brit partner. I'm from England originally but decided to move my ass over to canada now I will have the $750 for ccbill set-up

I could probably quite easily go through ccbill EU but I will have to figure that out.

Thanks for all the ideas and oppinions everyone

Yep, still got my british passport. But what about address?

I could probably get one of my cousins on board as a partner if needed. That shouldn't be a problem.
