				 | What are you shooting? I love Canon for its versatility indoor and outdoor so easy to adjust. Nikon lenses can't be beat though and are amazing for studio work and all around people stuff, not as versatile as Canon though. I bought one of each ... I carry the Canon every I go for textures (photoshop) and general purpose outdoor shoots. The Nikon is my go to for the studio and portrait shoots, even outdoor controlled shoots the Nikon is great.

				 | +1 for Nikon D line... ultra budget go D40 or D60... few bucks to spend roll D300 +... Get your hands on a few Canon and Nikon setups before you make your ultimate purchase... In the camera world this is a very Mac/PC thing... you find your fit and stick to it for life, make sure you've got the right fit out the door, and not someone elses... Me Personally I'm a Nikon man.

				 | Yeah, I just bought a T2I... on sale with lens, $899 CAD.... Love it!!! ordered a 18-135 lens for it as well, which is a nice upgrade... that being said, I think the only real difference between t2i and t1i is the video quality.. |

				 | I've posted this before and I'll probably post it again... When shooting 35mm, I had training from both Canon and Nikon and was trained as a Nikon Advanced System Specialist. As far as film and 35mm are concerned, I'm a die hard Nikon fan. However....Canon has superior digital products which is why I've been using and recommending them for years. Back in the day, all the sports guys, NatGeo, etc...used Nikon. These days, most of them have switched to Canon. |

				 | Awesome choice. I'd have waited and gotten one but got a great deal on the 50D. I'm going to pick one up shortly. We've got a collection of lenses started and a second body would be nice...especially one that shoots 1080p video. |

				 | Check out the one I posted. It's pretty well reviews and has a bigger range. Costs about 1/2 what the Canon 18-200 does. |

				 | Never ever skimp on Glass. Once you shoot with an "L" series Canon lenses or a top of the line Nikkor lens, you will trash all the others and wonder why you didn't spend the money up front for the best and they will last forever...
