Looking to go VPS. Any crazy special promotions like April??

I've been with Hostgator for a couple of years, but it seems that quality has diminished. Everything I've been reading about NH seems rocking!

I don't know about VPS deals but their Phoenix Forum special (don't have link to thread but should be on first few pages) gives you a dedicated server with 10 MPBS for $79 ... comparable to VPS but your own dedicated server!

Edit: Personally, I couldn't be any happier than I am at Naked ... great choice!

We were using Hostgator a number of years ago, but they really slipped into the shitpile so we had to leave them behind. We've been using Hostnine for a few years now without a single complaint.

Unlimited domains, emails, etc etc.

Plus, they have their own boxes so you don't have to worry about shit taking a few days if there is an issue. (Unlike vps.net)

We do not "resell" National Net. We colo out of National Net's data center. No different than colocating out of any other data center, you just happen to know the National Net name. We own all of our own equipment, servers, IP's etc.

There are very few hosting companys that own their own data center. I can only think of perhaps two that post on this board that do. Most hosts generally will portray that have their own data center however, when they only occupy space, just as we do.

Hopes this will clear up any misconcepts of the relationship between our company and National Net

No, we do not lease servers from National Net or from any company. As I stated, all equipment and servers are OWNED, purchased out right, by our company. Yes, our equipment is housed in the National Net data center. Not sure what is not clear about this...

You have been explained clearly what NH does and their " relation " to National.net. What point are you trying to drive ?

I myself have a cage at iweb in the DC # 3 . I do not use their equipment and have a blend of providers that I selected to connect.

I do admit that I use iweb electrical power, backup generators, security monitoring as well as their AC. What would be your point then ?

As NH rep said, maybe 1 or 2 own their dc, all other rent space or even racks in major DC around the world.

I am not trying to make any point. This was only in reply to "reselling" and was merely educating on the difference. I have no point to make regarding anyone else's set up.

lol, not my day with hosting. First Hostgator was down half the night and this morning I signed up for the forums at Certified Hosting and hours later was rejected for not being a customer. I had pre sales questions and wanted to see what other customers were saying.
