I've always found that it is hard to make a selling site when you are more or less repulsed by the niche it is promoting.

Nah, not at all. I've done lots of sites I would prefer to never see again... lol
That's one of the benefits of being a designer... after delivery, you rarely have to see it again, unless there are promotional creatives to be made.

My opinion is that you need to be able to put yourself in the mind of the consumer in order to sell a product properly. I know you are a good designer, but I need a site where I can drop traffic that I pay $1+ per click for and be pretty sure I make money back doing so. Are you so confident about your ability to design gay sites, that you are certain I can hire you for that kind of job?

Agreed, but that doesn't mean that one has to actually be gay in order to design or run successful gay sites. Or any type of site for that matter. I have sites promoting all sorts of weird shit I'm not personally into, but it's not hard to get into the wants and needs and even the mindsets of those who are into those things.

True, but you really need to know what they want in order to be successful with the kind of competition we face today. 3-4 years ago you could get away with anything and make money, now you need any edge you can get.

a good designer can do work appealing to specific target audience and or that can be widely appreciated. gay designer doesn't not necessary mean he possesses good technical skills. just that he is gay and a designer, but as a designer no different from others, good quality content makes whole difference - whether its tits & pussy or chest & cock generically speaking

Looking at the portfolios of those that have posted I see alot of nice designs, but nothing that catch my eye when it comes to what I need for this project. There is a couple I will consider for other projects in the future thou.
