Google Finally reports its revenue share in Adsense

http://adsense.blogspot.com/2010/05/...nue-share.html

Content Publishers worldwide's share is 68%

Search partners don't get as much $. Their share is 51%

Might seem a lot unless you get mostly foreign traffic or your target niche pays low overall.

Would this revelation make you want to try your hand running adsense?

I was wondering about that just recently.

It's a nice cut.

Might get my first AdSense experience soon.

I've been getting Adsense checks for a while now. Good thing is, you know Google isn't going anywhere any time soon...so those checks will clear.

I find it hard to believe that its 68% on content network. Based on the revenue per click, I would estimate its closer to 50%.

I always estimated around 40-50% based off what I was paid per click and Adwords' estimated CPC. I'm kind of having a hard time believing 68% on the content network myself.

No way it's 68%, I get a check every month and it doesn't equate to 68% of what is bid for the words that would most likely make an ad appear ? ? ?

I must say that i don't really think this is true share every time, fuck me but 68%??? Come on 68% and 51%, who created that share rate?

I would worry more about whether they're going to cancel your account. Reinstating it will be difficult considering it's virtually impossible to contact a human at Google.

When picking your niche, check spyfu to crossreference the range. Also, get bonus info like how many advertisers hit that particular keyword. You can also map your CPC using the Google wonderwheel tool. Happy (not so obvious hopefully) MFA'ing

If you need low cost but high quality Adsense content that's Web 2.0-friendly, hit me up.

It's not 68% but max 68%.
The exact rate you get from adsense ads on your sites depends on many parameters.
One is the CTR, and the second is the quality and relevance of traffic.
You are right when say that the average is 50%.

I have sites with adsense ads and CTR of over 2% and get about 60%.

BTW adsense is gold for me, since 2003 a cash cow.

You will eventually make a lot more selling a product than trying to make visitors click on those ads and make cents from a lot of visitors to your site.

Google uses its Internet search technology to serve advertisements based on website content, the user's geographical location, and other factors. Those wanting to advertise with Google's targeted advertisement system may enroll through AdWords. AdSense has become a popular method of placing advertising on a website because the advertisements are less intrusive than most banners, and the content of the advertisements is often relevant to the website.

The use of proxy is allowed but if you use a proxy to enter your adsense account your account will be disabled. It has been seen lately that you can use proxies for logins, but sign up must be from a real computer. Proxies like hidemyass, armyproxy, schoolproxy, etc, can be used after signup.

Be careful.

Fatfoo bots, also known as web robots, WWW robots or simply fatfoo, are software applications that run automated tasks over the Internet. Typically, fatfoo bots perform tasks that are both simple and structurally repetitive, at a much higher rate than would be possible for a human alone. The largest use of fatfoo bots is in web spidering, in which an automated script fetches, analyzes and files information from web servers at many times the speed of a human. Each server can have a file called robots.txt, containing rules for the spidering of that server that the bot is supposed to obey.

In addition to their uses outlined above, fatfoo bots may also be implemented where a response speed faster than that of humans is required or less commonly in situations where the emulation of human activity is required, for example chat bots or gofuckyourself.com

Be extremely careful.

MFAs used to be easy to spot. Not anymore. The recent Web 2.0 MFA sites look awesome. Another trend--niche classifieds sites.

What an awesome idea...

Rip off adsense advertisers by using clickjacking, then buy up Google shares with the proceeds...

How is it "given back" to the people? That page is currently disabled...

Thanks, I don't have a doubt you produce the best web 2.0. friendly content, yet the content itself is actually the only thing I feel somehow capable at
