They've got highspeed up which is great, I'm online. Woohoo!

The problem is I can't send email because they don't provide an smtp server (due to porn/spam abuse, apparently). Do you guys send mail via free shit accounts like hotmail and yahoo while you're in Vegas? If not how do you get around this? My ISP is in Canada and when I try to send email it gives a message saying "Server respone 550 relaying mail to [my ISP] is not allowed , Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79"

No, make sure you request it. Most rooms do but some don't. In fact I was in a room that didn't and had to exchange. The people at the Venetian are really nice.

...and the suites are fucking GORGEOUS!

your pretty much stuck unless you can get your isp to open port 25 to the IP you get at the venetian.

I've got a ittle advantage as i run my own mailserver. i can add and remove the IP at will:-)

They all have internet connection, but not all of them are highspeed. That's the only way to go.

I just get on the phone or ICQ with ISPrime and ask them to give SMTP access to the specific IP addy I am using in the rooms. 30 Seconds later, I am sending emails.

http://www.isprime.com There is NO better hosting company out there.

Just use your ISPs 1-800 to connect and send emails real quick, use the hotel's highspeed for everything else.

When you travel, it's a good thing to know about Zeke. He will give you temporary dialup access in most major cities. He charges $14.95 setup and $1 per day of service.

Here's what you do.... Go down to the front desk and ask them about it in person. When they say they can't give it to because of porn and spam, say really loud "but your hosting a convention of pornographers and there's six thousand PORNOGRAPHERS staying in the hotel.

Keep repeating the word PORNOGRAPHER until they give you what you want.
