sharing a bell internet stick connection with 2 laptops

I have a bell usb internet stick and i want to be able to use the connection with 2 laptops. does anyone have experience doing this? from what i've read there seems to be a couple of ways but some people seem to run into troubles.. using a 3g router (ie netgear) or using internet connection sharing. whats the best (and easiest) way?

how much does one of those cost? i couldn't find a price on the site. there are others that work too but only certain sticks seem to work with certain routers.
netgear, cradlepoint are couple of other routers. the netgear one is only 50 bucks but it seems it only supports the older bell stick (u760) and not the new u998. cradlepoint says it doesn't support u998 but after reading around it seems it works for some people.

I did something similar overseas with a Vodafone 3G USB modem.

Set up an ad-hoc wireless network between the two laptops.

Turn on internet connection sharing on the 3G modem in the network connections menu.

Add an exception to windows firewall for the 3g internet program on both computers.

That's the best I can remember it now. Try googling "share 3g over wifi".

good luck
