I just started a web site http://thefirstpornsite.com and I didn't put any banners on it. Just text ads that look much like adsence.

While I find this user-friendly I wonder... will it get any sign-ups, since porn is a pretty visual medium, I don't think anyone reads the text. Probably most ppl spend their time looking at the pictures.

But then on the other hand there's this thing called "banner blindness", people are allergic to banners and just don't "see" them.

Then on the other hand adsence has been around a while.. maybe people have developed adsence-blindness too.

What do you think?

(Also any opinions on my site are welcome, thanks!)

I think that you probably have far to many text ads to the right. You can probably increase your click through ratios but taking a few of them off. Maybe rotate them.

Allli What type of site are you going for here?? What sort of traffic are you sending to the site.

Whats the basic plan.

yes text ads sell ! just mix them with pictures to get the surfer interested
