Question about DMCA of GayTube.com - GoFuckYourself.com

Hi, recently, well last 3 days I have received an email from a guy from twistys.com

[email protected] targeting my domain igaytube.com intrigues the copyright of gaytube.com
and he is trying to scare me to sell my domain to him or he will file a lawsuit against me

The problem is there are so many flaws in this conversation

I had that domain for about an year, just past an year
I never had any problem with the copyright issue, and no one ever contacted me about it

Just last week or so, I turned my site into a nublies tube site, and I got this
before that I just use it to redirect to maletube4free and made 1000s of cash out of it, and I have never had any issue of it

well. he is offering me only 500 dollars to buy that domain, and he told me that it only cost 500 to hire a lawyer to send me a lawsuit?

I don't think this is right tho
1st. He is using a twistys email account
2nd He is only offering me 500 dollars for that valua domain
3rd He does not worry about the time I am spending to get things done on my part
4th The person who owns gaytube.com is Jack, [email protected]

So, what do you think?

Scam or not?

I sent an email to jack and twistys, and I will see how this things turned out

if you can give me some info on this, that will be really helpful because I don't know much about DMCA.

Becareful, I have seen this a lot over the years buying and selling domains, this guy is most likely full of shit and trying to take advantage of you using scare tactics to get a domain he wants.

If he really had any copyright stand point he wouldn't be offering you ANY money... If the $500 offer isn't anything to you, wait for the C&D letter before doing any transaction with this person, just make as much money as you can right now.

Don't. That thread is about Shap of Twisty's who is Michale's boss, was trying to strong arm the owner of hardsextube.com into giving up his VERY high trafficking site to him because he owns the copyright of sextube.com. Guess what? HardSexTube.com is still up and running months later.

Tell them if they want your site they gotta make a better offer than that, and if they don't want to, that you will cease any communications with them until they send a legal DMCA document.

High ball them, get what YOU want out of it, not what it's worth to you. Remember, they are the ones who want it so bad, and if they can't legally take it, then they must give whatever you want.

I had the same issue years ago.. I contacted a lawyer..
It is most unlikely that this person has a copyright on that name like that. A copyright like that costs several 100k a year ! And you have to buy it for more then 1 continent of the world. He prolly is just full of shit. Never sell that domain for 500 usd. Just ask him for the copyright docs he has on the name. He is not google, nike or mcdonalds
