Dependency on anything is bad. Things we do for enjoyment should be enjoyable. You should smoke, fuck, drink, and play because you want to, not because you have to or because you can't deal with how you feel when you don't.
If you can't stand to be yourself, sober and not under the influence of anything and understand the way your mind works when it's not burning some strange fuel then you aren't really enjoying the drugs you use. (and when I say drugs i am including the more benign common ones like caffeine, nicotine, alcohol and even sugar) To me all that stuff is just like overclocking or otherwise hacking your biological hardware. To get the best results you need to start with equipment that works well and maintain it and care for it. If it won't work normally without the overclocking, you're doing something wrong. Periodically it's important to get back to the basics and remember what life looks like through sober eyes and brain. Only then are your highs truly highs. Anything else is just beating a dead horse. |

Just turned 42 and I started smoking weed last year. Never really interested me before. Tried it once in the army at Ft. Lewis but didn't care for it. Now I smoke or dab everyday and I sleep so good.
