Really strange, that some naive people keep wondering about thir ugly ratios..

SMALL HINT: stop sending traffic to old shit tours and programs that do not give a fuck and stop sending traffic to programs that do all kinds of fucked shit to consumers.

THIS INCLUDES: Programs that do Cross Sales, Programs that pop consoles on the tour, programs with fucking suck ass tours from the 90s. Programs that offer no support, retarded outdated video scroll tours pieced together with shitty content and even worse design. Sell only the shit you would buy.

i was just looking at a ccbill program someone mentioned to try in a "shitty ratios" thread and many of the things you mentioned not liking is what i noticed..

Point is guys in their 40's to 60's still buy porn but it has to be something special. A couple of memberships a month ($60) is nothing to many "older" people.

Proof: I have bought more porn site memberships the last two years than times I jerked at a tube.

VJO- I think yer right about Tubes the video's are often pretty crunched up and thats the latest "Innovation" it makes zero sense to provide a top notch clip. Clips are compressed to be less than top quality on purpose and I also think many surfers that buy porn know that Tube videos are nothing compared to a pay video in a members site. Assuming they subscribe to a quality site.

Bottled water isn't given away in bottles in the quantities online porn does. Bottled water has professional people marketing it. Bottled water is a status symbol and part of the culture, like not paying for porn is. Tap water isn't free.

There was a time when program owners would blame themselves if they failed to convert traffic. The old axiom was "if you haven't found the right way to convert the traffic then you can only blame yourself". A surfer, was a surfer, was a paying customer if you could only provide the right recipe for conversions... the right product, with the right text, and perfect image...

Now everyone wants to point blame on anything or any one other than his or her own shortcomings being the fault of low conversions.

Sex has been as free as water since the dawn of time... and that is why the sex biz is called "the world's oldest profession". Like water, people are always going to be willing to pay for service, quality, exclusivity, etc.

i have no idea if this thread was started in direct response to my shitty ratio thread, but i should point out some facts here.

i was complaining about ratio's dropping from 1:2000 for over 5 years to 1:30,000 in one pay period.. it isn't the tubes, it isn't free content or my shortcomings ..:thumbsup

Please feel free to correct me I am wrong, but as I see it ratios have very little meaning.

They are about as relevant as the number of people that walk past a shop.

If the number of paying clients stayed the same ratios would be effected by the number of websites. eg if there was one big tit pay-site with a ratio of 1:500 if another big tit website opened up the ratio would fall to 1:1000, but the number of people buying porn would be the same.

Add a hundred other factors, where the traffic is from, have old the people, how many have CC etc....

The are many things a pay-site can offer that a free site cannot.

I'm just building building building right now... conversions are brutal (but when USA pulls itself out of the slump in the next 1-5 years i'll be ready and waiting to cash in...

Oh yeah, think long term baby. Porn is an impulse buy... the first thing people do when they got other commitments is stop the impulse buying sprees and with most content freely available on torrents and filesharing sites, its easy for most consumers to stop billing and spend a few extra minutes looking for free content instead.

But make no mistake, once things improve, they'll be back - they want to pay for no hassle, good content.

if you do a search on Lamis nickname you will see he has made many threads about not being able to convert paysites or anything for that matter, just because he cant do it others are able to without problems, he just hasnt learnt how to adapt, hes from the tgp era, and doesnt know how to do any other type or promotion.

maybe this is why you havent posted stats for any program, you have nothing to show for your work.
