This morning I went fishing

...at one of the local lakes and caught about 25 perch. They aren't very big and the best way to cook them is fry them with bones and all until they are crunchy. I gave them to my housekeeper for her and her kids.

I have extreme difficulty swallowing so I cannot eat crunchy...but I have eaten them before I had this problem and they are very tasty.

Did you do the fileting? Hope you checked them for worms, as perch have a tendancy to hang out close to shore at certain times and often get wormy.

But definitely if worm-free they's good eating.

No daily catch limits on perch in your state?

How does this relate to the Internet and any kind of business?

Did you at least blog about them?

Awesome man, I love fishing. I have been going every week for a month or so now.

A nice trick is to add some slices down the sides and baste with olive oil before you grill them

These do not have worms...and no there is no limit on them. Some people have said they have caught as many as a couple of hundred in a day of fishing. They are really to small to be messing with fileting them. Roll them in cornmeal and fry them crunchy and eat them including the bones.

I do not think that fishing really relates to the internet and...unless one is a commercial fisherman...or sells fishing related products...I do not think it has much to do with business...sport.

Sounds good, perch are the best. Small walleye (same family) are great too.

Ah, ok.. I got PTSD after service. One of the first thing I noticed was that I could not eat in public. My throat blocked all foods... Very annoying. Better now. Can eat on a restaurant without choking

The only way to tell if they're wormy though is to cut them open when raw and inspecting the meat, if not fileting them. any tiny dark or reddish spots = worms.

Here in Manitoba the limit on perch is 25, but only in the southernmost parts of the province (where the lakes are most fished). In more central and northern sections there is no limit. So I was curious to know if there are limits on them where you are. Thanks.

Well...according to the people that fish for these Perch on a regular basis they do not have worms...but I suggest that even if they did frying them crunchy will kill any an all worms...plus would provide additional nutrious protein. Do you eat pork? Pork has worms but the proper cooking of pork kills the worms.

I was just going to say, yes definitely some people have no problem with any worms that may be in certain fish, extra protien and all that. I've done most of my fishing with my brother in recent years, he owns a nice pontoon boat and has his fishing down to a science. He filets like a surgeon. But one thing about him is that he is utterly picky and finnecky about the fish he keeps for eating. If so much as a worm turd is spotted or even percieved in a fish he will chuck the entire fish and move on to the next one.

I'm not quite as picky as that.

No matter though, any day when you're reeling in 25 keepers is a good day of fishing in my book. Giving them to someone who could really use them -- even better.

At one point in time an ocean bay that I used to fish in...the ocean Perch were known to be wormy and when I cut into several of them it proved to be true so I personally always threw them back and would not eat them. I think the reason they were wormy is because there were many boats docked in the bay and even though people were not supposed to...I know that some of them would dump their sewage into the bay.

I frequently fish for ocean Perch here locally and they are big enough to filet and I personally have not found any that contain worms...but I usually surf fish when I am fishing for Perch...but I also have not found any worms in the Perch I catch from the bay here. There are a number of boats docked here but I don't know of anyone living on their boat though their are probably some that I am not aware of.
