When people can't pay they still click on the links, if anything they click more because they can't find what they are looking for, it will take a few months before you see Alexa rankings go down.

If you want to illustrate a point look at what happens when filelockers close their affiliate programs :

Filelockers losing their Paypal are lowering payouts, losing affiliates, in the long run it will affect their traffic drastically.

I know there are claims of piracy costing all companies world wide in the tens of billions each year.

and out of the 5 filelockers he mentions as "not losing their Paypal" two actually just lost it (FileFactory and Letitbit). one is a dying host living on old links (Hotfile.com), the other big one Depositfiles is scrambling with alternative Paypal accounts and banning affiliates by the dozen.

Second...I don't know shit about how these thieving sites operate. But I went to that URL and saw nothing about PayPal. If that message is "powerful" then they are pretty shitty at sending messages.
