				 | Who are the most gifted developers/programmers in adult industry? Who are the most gifted developers/programmers in adult industry? * StuartD * Konrad * Vlad * borked/Andy * woj When you're looking for developers, you're looking for good communication skills, quality (not sloppy) code, and someone who can give you accurate bids and delivery time windows, and then meet them. Additionally, those who realize and appreciate that the relationship is a two-way street between client and developer for long term business. Fire away ladies. |

I have worked with Andy, Konrad, Vlad (from list above) and all of them have different skill sets. I absolutely loved Andy. He would bang shit out in an afternoon that it would take others a week to do. While he was more expensive per hour, he was so much faster and better than others I was working with that the time, he was well worth it. Konrad and Vlad are also good, each has their different strengths. When it comes to Vlad, he is a perfectionist. Which is to say that sometimes he is slower than I would like as a client. However, to his credit as a developer, his code is excellent, and once the project is delivered, there has rarely been any issue. It has been solid, and worked like I wanted 100%. Konrad can do just about anything, and is fairly quick. He has expanded his business, and has a team now. When it comes to developers, each has their different abilities. Some are much more efficient (like in Andy's case) and somehow get things bang out very fast and solid. Others have better communications skills, can better set accurate deliver dates, are more personable, affordable, or whatever. My point is, with each you have trade offs. Finding the right balance is the key. | |

				 | Somewhat true. There are many, not all, who do not treat or handle their relationships like a business. I recall this one programmer who I would check in on for this project a few years back, and he would tell me everything else EXCEPT working on the project. He would be shopping at Best Buy for something or another, playing some video game and talking about his high score, decided to go up the the cottage in the middle of the week, smoking a bowl, whatever. Shit was nuts. That being said, there are some true professionals out there. You just have to find them. |

When it comes to programmers, speaking from a programmers pov, theres the best clients... And i'd say that requires a mention as its very important. A great client is one that knows what he wants.... Lays the MO on the table and well described. You know, we cant read minds so explaining what you want in detail from the word go is essential. Then there's paying promptly. If everything has been delivered pay it. All the "can you add this, modify that" after the MO has finished comes extra (imo) so don't expect it to be included in the cost (which is why being clear from the start is essential) That said, if we're doing shout outs, BF is a great client (though been a while since i've worked with you), DWB too, Steve @BB, and Aymeric (who doesnt post here). All know exactly what they want, which makes my life easier, and simply pay up when it's been done.

				 | I really shouldnt post in this thread but this is ehat it's all about tbh - people who actually care about how they are seen. Perfectionism screams volumes about how you value your product. And your image. I absolutely hate UI and will stay away from it as much as poss as it's not my speciality (and not afraid to say it), but i love working with people that want perfection.

I know i am losing on a lot of business by spending the required amount of time for each project and by not hurrying something just to get it done and move on. While this is very stressing for me sometimes as everyone wants their project completed yesterday if possible, it is also a huge stress relief once you deliver the work and the client sees the complexity and level of quality and that, all in one, makes it all worth for.

				 | I know will be not popular answer and I don't want to troll, but, most of programs and affiliates are directly or indirectly using "Nathan's Affiliate Traffic Software" or NATS, so you're automatically declaring Fabian "Nathan" Thylmann one of the most gifted (former?) developers in adult... I am pretty sure he still at least "peeks" in source code at Manwn, despite the many bathrooms he manage. About the other non-yet-Tycoons: Konrad wrote backend of tubecamgirl.com (the "tube" part let's say) and I confirm he's good, even at times he's stressed by too many guys asking him stuff so he goes nuts There's other developer(s) I use but I will NOT tell who they are as I need them available for myself 24/7, in fact never a good developer gots lots of free time lol. I can just advise you NOT to hire indians on elance, odesk or such... to find a good one is as unlikely as to win a lottery.
