They basically are ceremonial but in India, they always say watch out for Punjabi's because they generally have a fierce attitude and tend to completely blow up. It comes from years of war and attacks on Punjab basically turning them into angry people.
I remember I once bumped into a punjabi's car by accident years ago and he leaped THROUGH the car window and punched me in the face. Funny because Indians are passive, docile, no attitude at all. Its not like the Kashmiri fighters etc, but the punjabi's are different. Sunny Leone is 100% Punjabi by the way and you can bet she has a hot temper. |

Almost any disagreement or misunderstanding quickly becomes a "matter of honor" to some of them (another guy who worked in maintenance at the hospital comes to mind, flew off the handle at me one time for an innocent misunderstanding). But I've known a few other punjabis, mostly women, who were as nice and friendly and docile as they come. So I won't paint all with the same brush. Sikhs either for that matter.
