I think race relations have been this bad for decades. The difference is with social media and having a black president they are brought to the surface much more often.

To me it is just like police brutality. I don't think it is any worse than it has been all along, it is just now easier to bring to the public conscious because everyone is walking around with a camera on their phone and they can quickly upload the footage and send it directly to news outlets.

I don't let him off the hook. I said I agreed with what he said in the quote from the Marc Maron podcast. Has he gotten himself involved in racial issues when maybe he shouldn't have? Perhaps. I had such high hopes that he would use his usually good public speaking ability, his good looks and his popularity that we saw in the first campaign to inspire... to lift people up,... to move people to want to become the best they can be once he was President.

Instead, its been nothing but doom and gloom and blame. He could have been the greatest President ever. He was off to such a great start, that he got a Nobel Peace Prize before he'd ever did anything at all. He blew it immediately. I don't remember any President being so actively decisive.

Thanks for the link. My view isn't that BO undid good race relations. My view is race relations were never a concern of his. Even after they were thrown into his face, Zimmerman being the example. And now when he tries to get serious about it, he distracts from that by saying hahahahahaha.
