Thinking about moving away from CCBill to Epoch
Am I alone in this, or is anyone else thinking of the moving away from CCBIll?
Please give me your opinions, advice, or experiences. The problems I am having are: 1) I started a split to pay a model for one of my sub accounts. During the approval process for the split, they did a review of the sub account. They found fees from chargebacks dating back to 2008. This particular sub account was approximately $300 in the negative. After several emails, I was informed that the CCBill development dept. had found fees on "more than one sub account" now. I don't like to be in debt, I wanted to know the amount and for what sub accounts. I got nothing. Then, just yesterday... a month and half later. I persisted again and got an answer of, just disregard all of this. You will not see any fees. I feel like there could be pockets of money here and there, that have just went poof. 2) I have no account rep. 3) Admin is almost intolerable. It's slow, works in Google Chrome sometimes, works in Firefox all of the time... but I do not like Firefox. 4) The main ccbill.com site is not even HTML5. |

Another thing about ccbill is that on slightly older systems, they are unreachable as a security breach. I am on a iMac thats from 2010. I am using the latest version of chrome that my imac can run, but when I try to goto ccbill I get this...
![]() Now we know that its usually older people that actually pay for porn, and older people will probably have older computers as they are less interested in gaming or 'The Latest Thing'... So how many people cannot get to a ccbill join page? Can get to epoch, verotel even zombaio perfectly fine - Just not ccBill... Just my observation... ![]() |

How many affiliates do you have and how much of your sales are they pulling in?
if affiliate sales are a considerable part of your business, I would at the very least have that discussion with your top ten affiliates in like a closed group email or something.

Affiliate sales this year are 17.464788732394364% of my gross revenue. That sounds smart, talk to the top affiliates. I could also write some code that shows ccbill links to cookied traffic also. |

For Epoch you will need tracking software like NATS.

While it's true we no longer offer a payment program for affiliates, we do track all information on affiliate sales and can pass that data to you. And, we accept many more payment options than you would be able to with your own merchant account.
If you have any questions for us, please feel free to contact me directly or write to [email protected].

epoch is great at sales and promotion and kissing industry ass, bad for clients. their tech is from the 90s. they never thought to improve the client experience. every install is a nightmare. its the only biller install we have to charge for because they can take weeks or months.
on the other side of the coin, Verotel installs are done and approved in a few hours. personal opinion of someone who does a lot of biller installs every month. #porncms

In my experience, CCBill and Epoch both have their own pluses and you can keep your affiliate tour for CCBill and just make a duplicate for Epoch if you want to try it out. I use both.
Also, in my experience, Verotel do not pay, but your mileage may vary.

Even with all the CCBill problems, they convert a LOT better than Epoch.
I suggest you to don't move from CCBill. |

Both CCbill and Epoch = 3rd party processors that control how many of your sales they let through. They have very heavy scrub setup, so you're losing up to 50% of your sales.
Get your own merchant account and your own setup that you have full control over. |

1) find a friendly bank willing to do adult 2) convince visa and MC that you are all up an up 3) hire additional programmers to keep you hacker proof ( if that is possible) ....or what am I not getting here ?? BTW: the outfits providing merchant accounts are here today gone tomorrow, most of them ate cowboys from Belize,Malta etc.... |

Instead to make things more easily for business, Epoch and CCbill are ruining it with every new month. Why would anyway go to the company that just fucked up so many affiliates by discontinuing affiliate program?
And the CCbill is the separate story. Most of the sales are N/A ( can't track where from they are coming), increased price of wire transfers, admin section from 17th century....

Downside is you will have to install some affiliate program script like NATS or MPA3 And do payouts by hand (Paxum / Bank Wire / Payoneer) If you have good volume (50-100+ sales/day), this is the way to go. If you're small time, then don't bother, just wait till you get pushed out of business completely. It's not like you're making any decent money anyway. |
