:mad bush for president? not very smart!

Bush warned that a "constitutional process" might be necessary if what he called "activist judges" allowed same-sex marriages.

does any of the "normal" population really care if bruce and biff marry or what they do behind closed doors? well, if that statement alone doesn't draw votes away from this rat looking thing, then i don't know what will!

i can't believe, in this day and age, someone would make such a bold statement. especially during a reelection year. next he will be saying that pets don't belong in the household and owners must remove them or they will find themselves in a federal jail.

m-m, f-f want to marry, so be it. they wouldn't be bothering me so what do i care (and i am sure there are many more who feel the same as i do). the gay mainstream market grossed 450 mil last year so i say more power to them.

if there is a god in heaven, get this guy out of office!

Bush is a smart man...How do you think he manipulated you people to vote for him in the first place?

that wouldnt help him now. i think he is the only president to spend as much time as he has at camp david then any other president we have had. now why is it necessary to be at camp david every other day? i want a president who will be in the white house more times then not. christ, even clinton, with all his oral gratifications, stayed in the white house to receive most of them. he didnt feel the need to fly off to get them.....

i hope those who voted for him (and where happy with their decision), saw the miscount and blantent abuse of power to get bush in office, have there foot so far up their asses right now that they will have hemorrhoids for the rest of their lives.

actually, if you watch the news, what he was referring to was the states where the a big majority of the population (60 to 70%) are against same sex marraige, and then democracy is overturned when a couple of judges decide to overrule what the people of the state actually want and instead rewrite the laws themselves.

Laws are supposed to be created by the will of the people, not a dictatorship of a couple of judges. THAT's what this issue is about.

Oh you think its bad now Wait till you see whats about to come. Things are starting to heat up seriously. I dont like what bush has done in the last few years. But he will be will servering another term. What alot of people dont understand is that his daddy has alot to do with whats going on. Bush is nothing more then a puppet now. the more i hear him speak the more i get concered. Yes he gives good speeches but he dont write them they all are writen buy someone else. Since he has been in office everything has gone down hill. If it looks like he might lose a election more lives will be lost.

does any of the "normal" population really care if bruce and biff marry or what they do behind closed doors? well, if that statement alone doesn't draw votes away from this rat looking thing, then i don't know what will!

i can't believe, in this day and age, someone would make such a bold statement. especially during a reelection year. next he will be saying that pets don't belong in the household and owners must remove them or they will find themselves in a federal jail.

m-m, f-f want to marry, so be it. they wouldn't be bothering me so what do i care (and i am sure there are many more who feel the same as i do). the gay mainstream market grossed 450 mil last year so i say more power to them.

if there is a god in heaven, get this guy out of office!
Actually, my own views aside.....the "normal" poplulation DON'T think that same sex marriages should be legal....the count last year was about 65% of Americans are against it. Should a couple of judges make the rules or should there be a democracy?

just a thought....

Getting the government out of marriage on the other hand is.

this is wrong too.
a government should reward families. Children who have a mom and dad in the home succeed far more often than those who don't. Smart people like to see the people of our country succeed and we don't mind giving a reward to families who help their children succeed.

you want to fuck another guy in the ass? I have no problem with it, just don't ask the government to sanction it. When I was single, I wasn't looking for the government to sanction *my* lifestyle.

Trust me, I've lived all over the US and outside of it. You get a skewed view when you live in the big coastal cities. The vast majority of the US is NOT as liberal as NYC, Miami, San Fran and L.A. This is not "Bible Belt" we are talking about here, Americans as a majority don't have a problem with gay "civil unions" or some other such thing, but they DO have a problem with gay marriage.

Don't fall into the trap of thinking that new york is the way everybody thinks because you will spend a lot of time being confused.

Yes, we are. This is a Republic. Just because you don't like a certain section of people doesn't mean their votes don't count.
The entire country was polled. An overwhelming majority of people said they do NOT want gay marriages. These people vote.
Bush is reflecting what the voters are saying.

The judges, on the other hand, are ignoring what the voters are saying and are simply writing laws as if they were Kings.
Well, we crossed an ocean to get away from Kings and their ilk. We don't need more guys in long robes thinking all they're missing is the crown.

Don't hate Bush for stating what the people vote for; instead convince the people to change their mind.

And like I told you on Oprrano, it doesn't matter if each and every gay in the country showed up and voted against Bush (which will never happen) - it won't affect the election whatsoever.

well being that i lived in florida, went to school with quite a few gay kids, you would think that florida would be the first state to oppose this with the large, gay population down there.

The younger you are, the less likely you are to vote.
But those silver-haired folks down there oil up their walkers to get to the polls, LOL. And being that Florida is the biggest retirement state in the nation, I'd dare say they outnumber the younger gay population.

that i would probably agree with you on. the state of the economy alone should reflect popular votes. this country hasnt been in this type of economic state since his father (who i voted for). and if memory serves me correctly, there hasnt been a wartime president who has been reelected for a second term (again, i am going on sheer memory).

keep in mind that those young gay people are now substantially older so in addition to the blue hairs down there, you now have some blue hair gay people.

Don't forget where Bush is getting his dollars from. The religious bible people..

We are looking at a second term ladies and gents
We are looking at Big Brother watching youre every step

Freedom of speech is going downhill
Porn will be coming from overseas 80% of the time soon

I am more scared of religious fanatics than anything else in the world. They will kill to make a point, they will harrass and torture people to make them believe in the All Mighty.

Bush is scary - There are so many people who wow over him and are ready to do anything to get him into the white house again

Religious Activists vote
Most others dont

I forsee

New Abortion Law
Restrictions on Porn online from the USA
Censorship for viewing Porn sites located outside the USA
Burning of books

It's going to get a lot worse people, I hope America is ready to lose their freedom

Codify into law an executive order that allows religious institutions to use tax dollars to deliver various social services.

in my personal opinion this guy has been trying to bring back church and state since his term began and i wont have religion of any kind forced into my life.

Laws are supposed to be created by the will of the people, not a dictatorship of a couple of judges. THAT's what this issue is about.
So the majority should be stomping on the rights of a minority? Yep, now that's something.

It's none of there damn business. Should the population be made to decide wether you are ready or not to get married? Should they approve who you're getting married to?

Really, the bottom line here is that Bush and his admin. have no regard for the lives of others...they bow to the almighty dollar. And don't give me 'all politicians do', cuz while that is true, we need to look at WHICH dollar they are bowing to.

Sorry, but I have a news flash for you. Marriage is a civil contract which the community and the goverment are VERY involved in. There are many responsibilities, rights, liabilities, and priviliges that are associated legally with marriage. You can call yourself a couple, you can say you are united, you can do whatever you want, but the term "marriage" has legal ramifications and is a public contract.

Don't beleive me? See what happens when you break that public contract and get divorced. See what happens to your property, your taxes, your rights regarding your children, your income, etc....

Even serial killers can legally get married and nobody can stop them. Yet homosexuals should be stopped? What's next? Stopping Jews and Muslims from getting married because the majority doesn't want them to?

While at it, shouldn't countries with free healthcare deny homosexuals the right to those services since it's something that the community and the government are VERY involved in?

for whatever reason, this business attracts idiots.
