I agree. Shawn Ray should have won the Olympia after Haney IMHO. Unfortunately that was the turning point for the IFBB where it just started going for freakish madness. yates started it he really broke the standards i think he came in at 263 and that was unheard of back then

i think its those years that GH became available and bodybuilders started to screw around with insulin

Yeah, but where's it going and what's the point? Remember when a popular bodybuilder would get onto Leno or Letterman? Now these guys are so marginalized as freakshows no one wants to be associated.

Kids have it tough. Everyone is juicing. Everyone knew football had more juicers than Jamba but the public didn't really think baseball had it. Now all kids think that's the way to go. Not to mention they have easy access to Methyl-(insert this month's popular ending) popping up for them to take without any resistance from law enforcement.

It's gonna take someone dying on the stage during a posedown for any changes to come. Don't get me wrong, I'm not all about aesthetics, I thought Frank Zane was a pussy, but someone has to change the standard.
