question about pr

Say you have a domain with a high pr does that mean all your subdirectories such as http://yahoo.com/stock http://yahoo.com/money will be listested higher up in the engines even if the link isnt present on the front page of your domain?

First thing is, PR is assigned on page to page basis, it has nothing to do with PR of main domain.

If you mean just PR of main domain can affect the ranking of subdirectories in serps, then No .. if you mean overall trust and value of main domain affects thre ranking of subdirectories in serps, then Yes .. blogs hosted on blogspot are an example, many blogs rank higher than they would be, if they were hosted elsewhere.
