I dont mean to sound stupid, but as a webhost, I have seen a lot of these in the past with free host sites.

a DCMA notice forces us to make them take it down, or we take their site down. but this doesnt prevent them from posting something again.

you really need to file for damages as well, OR make them promote you maybe? DCMA is immediate pain relief but not long term resolution.

That's what I'm saying about clips4sale.com, too. I'm sure Neil is a good guy trying to do the right thing. He has already helped me out. What concerns me is when anyone can just upload pages and pages of clips that feature content many would recognize as belonging to Anabolic, Diabolic, Evil Angel, Red Light, etc. It absolutely kills a small producer like me.....moreso than the big guys. Survival of the fittest...

That was a damn harsh reply.

The guy is polite and has the right to complain : His content is being stolen.

Do you understand that ? The content he shot and paid for is being stolen !!
And because of this, he is loosing money.

Most of the time, things goes most faster to post in here than when we try to
contact personally the people in charge. I have experienced it myself a couple of times.

Wrong toots. That is a straight forward response.

He produces content as an independent. I produce content as an independent. Do you?

Neil does not READ gfy. He has told me this himself when I have pointed to posts about c4s. So my straight forward reply was in the best interest of the independant content producer, and O.P..

I appreciate any help or sharing of information, harsh or not. I'm here to learn and network and hopefully find ways of staying in business. When I see my content up under someone else's name, I get concerned.

Just starting this thread has put me in touch with several good people who helped point me in the right direction. I appreciate anyone who takes the time to tell things as they are.

No one is going to pay for porn sites anymore when they can just go there and jerkoff for free. It's a no brainer.

Better start looking for new jobs or find a super new and cutting edge adult niche you can exploit for some fast cash.
Until this industry is prepared to get off it's arse and do more than send DMCAs it will never change. If 10% of the energy wasted in these threads was put to solving the problem it would of gone years ago. But if you want it gone it will take hard work and an initial loss of money.

Plus coming together and and organising. So I guess it will never happen.

Why should they? The affiliate sales to paysites from these sites suck. So why should they put up a link to a site and confuse the surfer who they need to spend money on a site they do promote?

Brandon Iron you seriously need to read up on DMCA and know how to send one properly. People like Remove Your Content will do it for you but it really is down to you to know what you can do about it.

Also install some programs like an auto download detector/blocker, Strongbox and Throttlebox. These thieves like it easy and often they hack into your site and auto download everything they can. For free to $30 they can get your whole inventory. Protect your content.

SEO and boards I would imagine. Plus a lot of it is people coming back to jerk off for 15 minutes tonight. Same as they did last night and the night before.

Pornhub is being very helpful so I appreciate that the system actually works!
On a different note -- and I apologize for turning this into a soap opera -- the clips4sale quagmire got a little murkier. For anyone who cares....
-- Neil from clips4sale has been extremely helpful by closing the studio in question.
-- To be fair, Neil notified the studio owner, John Gage, of the reason for closing the store and forwarded my original e-mail to him.
-- John Gage left me a voicemail tonight saying he purchased a license to my content from a woman named Samantha Metropolis and that if the license is illegal, the problem is mine, not his.

My question is:
-- Who is Samantha Metropolis? Has anyone here dealt with her? I do not have any contact info on her nor did I ever enter into an agreement with her.
-- Has anyone dealth with John Gage? Never met him.

The plot thickens.....
More from C.S.I. (Content Stealing Investigators) later. Hope this entertains someone!

I would say the problem IS his...just because he "bought" the content from someone who may or may not exist does not exempt him from the issue...'

I would ask for a copy of his license from this person which should include contact info....if it is not forthcoming i think you should add this person to the list of asses to be kicked...

And what if an agreement is shown that contains seemingly legit stuff? I want to try to see both sides of this but it's suspicious to me only because Neil gave me a different contact number for the studio owner. When I called it, someone answered and said I had the wrong number when I asked to speak with the person Neil told me to call. Hmmmm....

It sounds like some people just play Pass the Buck and I just want to see where it stops next.

Ignore the above post.
Neil sorted it all out. The studio "owner" is a bullshit artist. He had similar problems with Neil in the past and was told to run things legit. He just returned to his old ways. Neil shut his store down.

For the record, this guy ran multiple stores with various formats of delivering the content. It was professionally done. Pretty scary. Even scarier was that I recognized content from Jules Jordan, Peter North, Anabolic, Diabolic, and Pariah Pictures. Clips were deliberately labelled in as vague a manner as possible to make detection more difficult (ie; cumslut takes face bath) or using improper stage names of the female performers.

Do not do business with anyone claiming to be John Gage. Scam artist extrordinaire.

Why does that name sound so familiar.....

On his point of it's not his problem, it's yours. Wrong bitch.

If you get sold a stolen BMW for $5000.00, and the police recover the stolen car. You lose the car, and the cash. Regardless that Joe Friday sold it to you, and gave you a piece of paper that looks like a title. Same rules apply here.

The problem is HIS.

But I am glad to hear things were sorted out for you. Neil will help handle it when in the loop.
