The good news is I will be home a lot more to work and post on GFY.

The Bad news is Im fucked.

I was convicted today on my arrest for the charge of wreckless driving.. My Licence is suspended as of midnight tonight for 90 days. No jail but I have 40 hours community service, 700.00 fine, 200.00 court fee, 3,000.00 attorney fee, 240.00 DMV fee, and a 960.00 a year SR 22 fee. Plus I will most likely be kicked off my insurance, and when and if I get one in 90 days it will probably be for 450.00 a month.

Im trying to get my Hardship for licenced filled out to buy me some fredom, but the judge has refused to sign the last two presented to him.. Im just plain fucked..

And this is a true story, and I really was in jail when those boneprone got arrested posts were submitted. I was in a holding cell for 6 HOURS till I got my bail posted. I was fingerprinted, and had photos take of me(mug shots).. They told me that I was one of the first people in a long time to smile for my mug shot.. I told them ma ma would be proud..

Im soo fucked. Now I have a criminal record, and cant drive my Vette for 90 days..

This sucks..
At least I still have you guys.

I have such a huge fucking headache, my wife and i have been in Washington County Court all day.. I dont ever want to have to go to a court again..

the District Attoneys were such fucking pricks.. They were laughing during my testomony, and were giving like high fives afterwards.. If I see those fuckers on the street, I swear Im gunna fucking do something to them..

My attorney was the most disapointed of all of us.. He's an older very respected and expierenced guy, and the DA's were like these fresh out of college assholes, and I can tell my Attorney was taking this personal.. He would stand up and say objection during the testimony, and the jusdge would overrule, and then DA punks would give my attroney a smurk and that really got to him I could tell..

What a fucking headache.. One of the worst fucking days of my life today.

Reckless driving? How many convictions do you have for that?

And what were you doing to get the reckless driving ticket? I know a few people that have gotten reckless driving tickets for going 60+ over the speed limit, yet never lost their license.

From what I was told, a moving violation is not a criminal record

Reckless driving is a moving violation unless it is a DUI or something that is other than excessive speed..

hey don't take this the wrong way, but from a father of 2 kids, that play outdoors in the streets..
If you really are drinking and driving, or just wreckless driving.. I think you got off to easy..
I have a close friend that lost a child to some asshole driving his sportscar like a wreckless asshole.

Now I have pictures of me with his child at my house with my kids playing, and his child is dead.. So when it comes to driving wreckless, I have no mercy for anyone..

I was driving a bit fast on a freeway and was charged with wreckless cause the officers couldnt keep up to pull me over, or to let me know they were attempting to pull me over.
In the end I had 5 police cars, and the helicopter overhead until they got me to pull over..

Wreckless driving is not a moving violation traffic infraction.. It is a crime, and it goes on a criminal record. I was not drunk, nor did I get a DUI..

I was simply a Corvette going 90-100 on I-5 (freeway) and the police got excited and called the Sherrif, the State Police, and Beaverton Police to get involved in the case..

When they finally got their prize and pulled me over, I could see them high fiving eachother that they caught me. The thing is the cheif of police was the one who was initally after me, everyone else joined in to get brownie points and impress the cheif..

A real bad situation.

I went to 4 different attorneys to defend me.. All four laughed and laughed.. They all told me I was "fucked". They said "could anyone have that much bad luck and have Splindin (the police chief)involved chasing ya".. They all said this was an amazing story, and they couldnt wait to tell their collegues that of all the people I had the chief of police chase me and write my ticket.. No wonder they were all high fiving eachother..

I was fucking scared.. I had 3 different police departments involved, 5 marked cars, and 2 under cover.. Plus I had the police helicopter overhead with lights on me like I was in Compton or some bank robber.

The worst was sitting in court today trying to get the lesser charge of careless driving which is the maximum traffic violation you can have without it being a criminal case.

The DA went up to the stand and asked the Cheif his creditals, and he stated them off with his 26 year expierence saying how well trained he was and how decrated he was, I didnt have a chance..

He said he would have liked to catch up with me, but didnt want to turn this into a persuit cause he thought it would be too dangerous.. As if I wouldnt pull over if I had known police were after me.. They have down they chased me for 20 miles at this speed.. If I had known I was being persued by police I surely would have pulled over miles back, but they said they thoght I would attemt to illude and would create danger, so he wanted to wait for his backup first..

There was hardley anyone out, it was Saturday night at about 1000 pm, and I was just pushing my car to see how it would handle..

It was almost a game to these officers to play cat and mose with me, and when they caught me with the police force they were laughing and high fiving eachother like it was all one big game..

What bad fucking luck.. Im driving record is for the most part clean, and Ive never been arrested before, but the judge told me this was the worst persuit he had heard of in his 8 years of being a judge..

Just FUCK FUCK FUCK..

I don't know how it is Portland, but here the bus is the WORST! Cab it would be my suggestion. A little more expensive, but worth the few extra bucks.

Lightning I assure you Im not some mad man that would run wild in some neighborhood wreckless or drunk..

I was just pushing my Vette down the open freeway to see what it could do when I got unlucky and passed up the chief of police in the other lane as he was coming home from a party.. He radioed in to get assistance, and they chased me down till I noticed they were behind me.. I realize I was going way to fast, but everyday I see drivers much more unsafe going 65 on the freeway cutting in and our of traffic or following too close..
I was going 100mph, but I never tailgated or switched lanes on , my open hwy. I was simply speeding down a freeway in a car that has no problem handeling itslef at these speeds on a straight open freeway.

Wow, you sure did have bad luck there. But the police always like to fuck with people who do little things like speeding on a freeway, while there are people in real trouble who need their help, but the police are too busy playing their cat and mouse games to notice. I could see their point if someone was speeding in a school zone, or on a street in the city, but on a freeway? Who cares! As long as you're not endangering anyone, I don't see the problem.

But shit happens, at least it wasn't worse...

I just got back from cabo.

one of my friends I was with decided to urinate on the side of the street. A tow truck stopped...to our disbelief a cop was driving.

We were fucked. We were going to MEXICAN jail. Where we had heard nasty rumors - americans don't make it out of.

We tried to "pay him" the ticket. He didn't seem to want to do that. Then we figured out that he didn't want people passing by to see it. We took out 90 bucks US, stuffed it on his seat and were on our way.

all we could say was "we bribed a fucking cop"

Bone, that sucks... 100 MPH and you get a criminal record for that?! A vet is made to go fast, especially when it's not too crowded it's not even close to dangerous. If you know what you're doing of course. I took some driving courses myself. Maximum speed I made was a little over 180 MPH. I'm sure glad no chief of police was patrolling that day ;-)

100 in a 65mph zone? That is borderline reckless driving. 25 is considered reckless driving here in Indiana. And I have been pulled over for doing 30 over. 75 in a 45 zone. Pleaded it to 64 in a 45 and got 4 pts and a $100 fine. I was told by the officer when I got my ticket that he could have taken me to jail if he wanted... DAMN Glad he didn't! Just turned 18 3 days before, so maybe that is why he gave me a break

If they have to chase it is considered evading, and that is a criminal record. Tough break Bone.

Never heard of reckless driving being a criminal record. Guess there are different types of reckless driving.

If someone comes through my neighborhood going 50, I think they should fry! Since there are 10 kids playing at any given time during the day everyone should drive 20 like the speed limit says. On the highway, things are different..

Hey Hun, since I dont have my licence anymore, and if you plan to come to the Portland webmaster convention for some strange reason, Ill let you drive my vette, and I'll let ya take it for a spin..

I was going 100 mph, but I assure you it can go much faster. The Vette I have is a C5 Pace Car and like I said earlier, 100 mph is quite a smooth and controlable ride on a straight empty highway like Interstate 5 we have here in Oregon..

You are welcome to test her out anytime, maybe we can outrun the helicopter this time.

I also have a consealed weapons permit, and I guess when they put my plate info in their computer from the police car red flags appear, this also could have put fear in the cheif not to persuit me thinking I may be hostile or on drugs.. So I can see their point of view..

I have nothing agains cops, my uncle is a state trooper in California.. But believe it or not, this story even made him laugh.

It's all about the car......... had you been driving a stationwagon they'd have laughed it off as grandpa out joy riding or some shit. LOL

I had a decked out 1978 Trans Am for awhile and whenever we took it out, cops would stop in the fucking turning lane here and wait for us to pass.... my hubby had long hair and played in a band at the time so they would think they had themselves a hell raiser or some shit and follow us for a long damn time. Run my plates and the whole fucking bit......

BUT we'd take out the wagon, the exact same cops would pass us and wave..... same hair, same people, same everything but they'd treat us different because of the car......

I went out in it one night and was driving slow, went to make a turn, dropped my cigarette and went to pick it up, swerved a bit but never crossed any of the lines in the road........... this asshole cops pulls me over and wants to do a fucking drunk test on me........ I simply busted out laughing right in his face as hard as I could from the back end of my car........ told him to follow me, raised my arms so he knew I meant him no harm........

Took the ass back to the front door of my car and stepped back.. pointed inside my car for him to take a peek inside, he looked and seen the kids all strapped in in their seatbelts and talking quietly, all 4 of them. Told my girlfriend the officer thought I was drinking, in which case she then busted out laughing at him......... he demanded to know what was so funny..... I gave him my keys and invited him to search my car, give me tests of whatever type he felt the need to do but assured him I DO NOT drink...... nothing more than coffee, tea, and coke. That just because I drove a faster car than his does not mean that I or my family are the partying type. He ran my plates and all my info and came back and told me I was free to go and apologized profusely as he had never seen a cleaner driving record on a 28 yr old woman, then made mention of my husband's car........ imagine his face when I told him that was MY FUCKING CAR!!!!

I guess he put the word out because they never ever fucked with me again........ in fact I WAS speeding one day by myself and the same cop drove by me and waved.

It's all about the damn car you drive........ they think they have a hellraiser when they see a fast car.... lame but it's the damned truth.

boneprone.... I am happy you are out of jail and that you didn't do the shit they said here for a little while....... but I didn't really feel the need to try and back you because with some people backing one only makes it worse for said party... so I didn't dignify it, but I knew better. It sucks that they had a field day with you, but that is the way of the fucking world today.... it's insane.

Lightning, I feel the same as you about driving this way on residential streets babe, you have no idea how many I have given the what fors for driving like mad fools where kids play. lol

That sucks bone,

I knew a guy who made this bet. He bought himself a pontiac firebird with a nitrous charged corvette engine. He's a mechanic. So he made a bet with his friend that he could go over 150mph. Well he took it on the highway, here in NY and passed a cop at 182mph at 3:00 in the morning. The cop didnt even follow him, he called for backup. In 3 miles, 2 patrol cars blocked the highway and officers were pointing guns at him. As soon as he got out of the car, they cuffed him on the floor, pointing guns to his head. The speed recorded was 182mph. Compared to this guy, you're not fucked. His license was suspended for 3 years, and he paid much more in fines than u. hope that cheers u up

bone, i feel for you. I keep picking up speeding fines while on the motorway - 3 more points and i'm a pedestrian. Thing is, I only get caught when cruising around 100mph or so - what pisses me off is that while the cops are busting my ass, some poor fucker is getting mugged/raped/house broken into (delete as applicable).

I used to live near Venlo in the Netherlands and would take my bikes out on the autobahn in Germany - i got overtaken by a Merc once while i was doing 155mph!!!!!!

The Autobahn isn't as much fun as it used to be anymore. Many parts of the road there is a speed-limit. And the Germans are VERY scrict about 'em. But The parts where there's no limit are a lot of fun. And the funny part: not a lot of accidents happen there. When people are driving there they know some guy could pass 'em at a 180 MPH or faster (like 181 or even 182 ;-)...

I would never take the car too fast in resiential areas. The speed limit in the Netherlands is about 35 MPH in residential areas. Some parts the roads are so curvy that you'd be insane driving that "fast". Go figure.

I have a close friend that lost a child to some asshole driving his sportscar like a wreckless asshole. Now I have pictures of me with his child at my house with my kids playing, and his child is dead.. So when it comes to driving wreckless, I have no mercy for anyone..

In the end I had 5 police cars, and the helicopter overhead until they got me to pull over.. Wreckless driving is not a moving violation traffic infraction.. It is a crime, and it goes on a criminal record. I was not drunk, nor did I get a DUI.. I was simply a Corvette going 90-100 on I-5 (freeway) and the police got excited and called the Sherrif, the State Police, and Beaverton Police to get involved in the case.. When they finally got their prize and pulled me over, I could see them high fiving eachother that they caught me. The thing is the cheif of police was the one who was initally after me, everyone else joined in to get brownie points and impress the cheif.. A real bad situation.

They all told me I was "fucked". They said "could anyone have that much bad luck and have Splindin (the police chief)involved chasing ya".. They all said this was an amazing story, and they couldnt wait to tell their collegues that of all the people I had the chief of police chase me and write my ticket.. No wonder they were all high fiving eachother.. I was fucking scared.. I had 3 different police departments involved, 5 marked cars, and 2 under cover.. Plus I had the police helicopter overhead with lights on me like I was in Compton or some bank robber. The worst was sitting in court today trying to get the lesser charge of careless driving which is the maximum traffic violation you can have without it being a criminal case. The DA went up to the stand and asked the Cheif his creditals, and he stated them off with his 26 year expierence saying how well trained he was and how decrated he was, I didnt have a chance.. He said he would have liked to catch up with me, but didnt want to turn this into a persuit cause he thought it would be too dangerous.. As if I wouldnt pull over if I had known police were after me.. They have down they chased me for 20 miles at this speed.. If I had known I was being persued by police I surely would have pulled over miles back, but they said they thoght I would attemt to illude and would create danger, so he wanted to wait for his backup first.. There was hardley anyone out, it was Saturday night at about 1000 pm, and I was just pushing my car to see how it would handle.. It was almost a game to these officers to play cat and mose with me, and when they caught me with the police force they were laughing and high fiving eachother like it was all one big game.. What bad fucking luck.. Im driving record is for the most part clean, and Ive never been arrested before, but the judge told me this was the worst persuit he had heard of in his 8 years of being a judge.. Just FUCK FUCK FUCK.. Im just FUCKED.

I was just pushing my Vette down the open freeway to see what it could do when I got unlucky and passed up the chief of police in the other lane as he was coming home from a party.. He radioed in to get assistance, and they chased me down till I noticed they were behind me.. I realize I was going way to fast, but everyday I see drivers much more unsafe going 65 on the freeway cutting in and our of traffic or following too close.. I was going 100mph, but I never tailgated or switched lanes on , my open hwy. I was simply speeding down a freeway in a car that has no problem handeling itslef at these speeds on a straight open freeway.

I just got back from cabo. one of my friends I was with decided to urinate on the side of the street. A tow truck stopped...to our disbelief a cop was driving. We were fucked. We were going to MEXICAN jail. Where we had heard nasty rumors - americans don't make it out of. We tried to "pay him" the ticket. He didn't seem to want to do that. Then we figured out that he didn't want people passing by to see it. We took out 90 bucks US, stuffed it on his seat and were on our way. all we could say was "we bribed a fucking cop"

A vet is made to go fast, especially when it's not too crowded it's not even close to dangerous. If you know what you're doing of course. I took some driving courses myself. Maximum speed I made was a little over 180 MPH. I'm sure glad no chief of police was patrolling that day ;-)

And I have been pulled over for doing 30 over. 75 in a 45 zone. Pleaded it to 64 in a 45 and got 4 pts and a $100 fine. I was told by the officer when I got my ticket that he could have taken me to jail if he wanted... DAMN Glad he didn't! Just turned 18 3 days before, so maybe that is why he gave me a break If they have to chase it is considered evading, and that is a criminal record. Tough break Bone. Hun, you take that ferrari on the autobahn yet? That would be the ultimate High for me. Have taken my Motorcycle on the local freeway up to about 150 or so That is crazy fast. Couldn't imagine 180 on or in anything, but I have a friend that just bought the hyabusa. Top speed of 200mph! DAMN! Waiting for him to kill himself Never heard of reckless driving being a criminal record. Guess there are different types of reckless driving. If someone comes through my neighborhood going 50, I think they should fry! Since there are 10 kids playing at any given time during the day everyone should drive 20 like the speed limit says. The Vette I have is a C5 Pace Car and like I said earlier, 100 mph is quite a smooth and controlable ride on a straight empty highway like Interstate 5 we have here in Oregon.. You are welcome to test her out anytime, maybe we can outrun the helicopter this time.

But that wasnt the point.. The point is, anything over 90 is automatically classified as Too Fast, and They never actually clocked me, they just estimated the speed and called it wreckless. I also have a consealed weapons permit, and I guess when they put my plate info in their computer from the police car red flags appear, this also could have put fear in the cheif not to persuit me thinking I may be hostile or on drugs.. So I can see their point of view.. I have nothing agains cops, my uncle is a state trooper in California.. But believe it or not, this story even made him laugh.

LOL I had a decked out 1978 Trans Am for awhile and whenever we took it out, cops would stop in the fucking turning lane here and wait for us to pass.... my hubby had long hair and played in a band at the time so they would think they had themselves a hell raiser or some shit and follow us for a long damn time. Run my plates and the whole fucking bit...... BUT we'd take out the wagon, the exact same cops would pass us and wave..... same hair, same people, same everything but they'd treat us different because of the car...... I went out in it one night and was driving slow, went to make a turn, dropped my cigarette and went to pick it up, swerved a bit but never crossed any of the lines in the road........... this asshole cops pulls me over and wants to do a fucking drunk test on me........ I simply busted out laughing right in his face as hard as I could from the back end of my car........ told him to follow me, raised my arms so he knew I meant him no harm........ Took the ass back to the front door of my car and stepped back.. pointed inside my car for him to take a peek inside, he looked and seen the kids all strapped in in their seatbelts and talking quietly, all 4 of them. Told my girlfriend the officer thought I was drinking, in which case she then busted out laughing at him......... he demanded to know what was so funny..... I gave him my keys and invited him to search my car, give me tests of whatever type he felt the need to do but assured him I DO NOT drink...... nothing more than coffee, tea, and coke. That just because I drove a faster car than his does not mean that I or my family are the partying type. He ran my plates and all my info and came back and told me I was free to go and apologized profusely as he had never seen a cleaner driving record on a 28 yr old woman, then made mention of my husband's car........ imagine his face when I told him that was MY FUCKING CAR!!!! I guess he put the word out because they never ever fucked with me again........ in fact I WAS speeding one day by myself and the same cop drove by me and waved. It's all about the damn car you drive........ they think they have a hellraiser when they see a fast car.... lame but it's the damned truth. boneprone.... I am happy you are out of jail and that you didn't do the shit they said here for a little while....... but I didn't really feel the need to try and back you because with some people backing one only makes it worse for said party... so I didn't dignify it, but I knew better. It sucks that they had a field day with you, but that is the way of the fucking world today.... it's insane.
