Will Tighter Cross Sales and Billing Rules Hurt The Tubes More than Anyone?

Will Tighter Cross Sales and Billing Rules Hurt The Tubes More than Anyone?
I heard that earlier today. It's an interesting idea. What do you think?

Why would that be?

Cross sales help programs to pay ridiculously high PPS's. That has nothing to do with whether its a tube program or not.

Nope. They will just adapt.

You are already starting to see 2.0 versions of the typical traffic tube, with the pay site tube, mobile tubes, and what not.

Additionally, on those high volume traffic tubes.... as long as BROgrams keep payin for ad spots, they are safe no matter what goes on with cross sales or credit cards.

All in all, it's a non-issue to most tubes out there.

Do you research tubes much? Look at where big portions of their dollars come from. Tighter billing could hurt their bottom-line. I've talked to a bunch of tube owners in the past month and most have felt a major hit.

I think it will hurt every kind of site the same way.

I'm sure it hurts them, but I don't see why it would hurt them "more than anyone".

People who were dependent on 3rd party crosses are fucked, tube or no tube. We have seen a lot of non tube programs lower payouts, run off with payouts or straight up fold, but as far as I can tell the tubes are still there.

Well if the tighter rules hurt the BROgrams, and they can no longer pay for the traffic tube ad spots, only then will it ultimately hurt then in the long haul.

However, this is not a simple black and white issue. There are many flavors of tube sites, and not all are dependant on sponsor PPS, or revenue directly from upsells. Some sell ad spots and that's it, while others are pay site tube model with licensed content.

So it really comes down to the type of tube, and their revenue business model.

Yes for sure it will hit tubes hard, maybe not hardest of all but it's going to take a lot of income from them!

Apparently I'm going to post in every one of Shap's threads. Then again, today there are 143 of them, I think.

Anyway: it all depends on how they have their shit setup; if they're cross-selling with other companies' merch accounts then they would have to adapt. If they're doing it 'in-house' then not as much.

Most of the largest buyers are Dating/Cams... It will have an impact, but those companies aren't really as impacted as much as the typical PPS program.

Just my 2 cents

General tube sites are feeling the pinch but as long as they promote dating and cams in addition to porn they will survive. In the last 3 months more and more tube sites are sending paid traffic to their category pages and concentrating on niches and micro niches that surfers are still willing to pay for. The HUGE tubes are definetly down in traffic the last 3 months I think we are gonna see a surge of niche tube sites. Sponsor owned tubesites seem to be doing better than independently owned tube sites.

All of the biggest buyers of tube ads were using xsales, excluding aff, streamate, and livejasmin. Next month, all the big tube sites are going to get hit hard when no one renews at the current prices.

If it will hurt the tubes, it will hurt almost 80% of the people. No matter what site.
Its not like nobody is actually doing biz with those tubes that are making them money.

And at the end.. it will hurt the affiliates. What do you think will happen when the sponsors webmasters promote are switching back to revshare only? They wont be paying $30-$75 pps anymore believe me

Not that i care though, im glad we are already revshare only for most people. Without prechecked cross-selling.
