What do you mean banned? Firefox works.

Another question

zzgundamnzz, I have a quick Q for you. Do you think you can give me a little insight on how to get started with no capital. I read this whole post but couldnt believe the prices that these servers charge. I am fairly new but am willing to work to make it big. Thanks.

Go with a reputable Free Host. Find yourself a remote hosted trade script / thumb script. There you go foothold with no capital down.

Boy, I still need to absorb the first 10 posts ya made zz... this is a lot of info to take in, wow... I will be spending a lot of time in this thread. Luckily I work for Webair, so hosting will not be an issue.

I just hope I can learn:

a) How a TGP works exactly
b) Where to buy a decent quality of feeder traffic
c) When to link to galleries and when to link to submitters (traders)

Haha! Oh well, I have the time... so I may as well keep reading the
same posts over and over and over again until something clicks in
my thick head.

I have my site up and running however im having multiple issues im dealing with. My pages will not update themselves, i thought it was a permission error so i chmod them to 777 and still no dice.

When ever i build a page i get this error below:

Warning: fopen(../templates/../../Amateur.shtml): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/bowzer/public_html/ct/includes/layout_classes.inc.php on line 664

The other issue is i would rather edit my pages with my WYSIWYG HTML editor however when i upload on my server the web interface is still holding the old pages in the web interface.

In CT when using the FTP instead of the web interface, what files do you need to edit and upload.

Is it the .inc files in the templates folder or is the the .shtml files in your public html folder.

Your going about it the wrong way. Read the Manual closely. Your supposed to use the edit page option to change your pages. Just cut & paste from your wysiwyg editor.

The reason why your having problems is your trying to edit the main file. Your supposed to edit the template.

You got two pages the template and the page that gets built .tmpl and whatever your building. Don't fuck with the .inc files if you don't know what your doing.

A.

What your trying to do with a TGP page is to create a page that sells and sustains itself. Either by trading traffic or by collecting bookmarkers or both.

Purpose is to get people to view a gallery or two, get impressions on banners and then if they don't want to buy your stuff to get em out of your site by trading them away for a new person.

B.

Don't buy the premium ppc traffic and send it to your TGP. Just get the cheap stuff. As long as they speak english and aren't bots it should do ok feeding your site.

I would go with http://traffic-for-sale.com . Cheap and decent quality traffic that comes fast.

C.

You gotta elaborate on that question.

If you wanted to you could do both. Or just do one.

Submitters are people who submit galleries to your site. Traders are other sites that you send traffic to get traffic back.

Thanks zzgundamnzz for this usefull thread.

I have 2 questions to do if you don't mind.

1) Could you please check my site and tell me what would you change to make it better? (if there's something) http://www.analfreeporn.com

2) I bought 160k unique visits from Traffic-For-Sale.com, but the productivity comming from those visits is really really low (about 5%), since you have also used it, can you tell me if this is normal? or there's something wrong with my site?

Thanks a lot in advance for your time

Thats not normal at all. Depending on your setup you should be getting atleast 200% with them.

I'm following exactly your instructions on how to set comus, the only thing that I changed is the first row I did it to "Anal" gallery, otherwise everything is like you said

Can you see anything wrong on my site? or something that I may been doing wrong?

Auto Gallery

Thank you for starting this thread, I'm a beginning to this industry and I have learned a lot from this. I have a quick question though, is there a auto gallery software or script that manages all the submission/posting/trading software without much maintanence?

Thank you in advance!

This is a really good thread. It will live forever. They should sticky it or make a new How To forum with articles like this.

ZZ

I tried to chat with you via ICQ Saturday night. I need a bit of help, and it's more complex than typing all of it out here.

I left you a few quick messages, and not sure if you got them, but if you could please hit me up via e-mail, or ICQ it would be much appreciated mate.

Setup my template for a fee?

Hi ZZ,

I have been reading this topic on and off for about 3 days now! You have done an excellent job at explaining it all, specially for noobs like me!

I decided to give Comus a try and set up the 2% skim version, it seems to be a very steep learning curve to get the template setup with the productivity and trades.... can you do this [for a fee of course]

I want to get it set up with my template and TTT trades.

I am sorry if this has already been asked and answered but it is a very long thread and hard to take it all in!

Thanks so much
Sara

A Simpler Way?

What if I have a unique landing page that is different from what is usually out there? Below the superficial design, the page will just be a modified "banner farm".

Couldn't I simply buy traffic and convert to cash via click thrus to my sponsors?

I could trade some traffic via recip/toplists, but if I buy good traffic that converts at a profit, do I really have to do a lot of trading and gallery submissions???

What would be the point of having a TGP if you don't want to start trades and are going to buy good traffic that converts at profit. Why not just send directly to sponsor or gallery?

Sorry I don't setup trades. Too time consuming and just not worth the time and effort setting it up for someone else when I could use the time to setup my own.

Hi ZZ!

I want to start my own thumb tgp in the next few days...

But I still have no hosting for my tgp...

Is the $99 monthly offer from Servermatrixx ok for the beginning or is there any catch?

http://www.servermatrix.com/servers.html

I also don't want an unmanaged hosting...so is the free silver level they offer enough?

http://www.servermatrix.com/managed_services.html

I would say don't go with Server Matrix unless you know your way around a server. Otherwise you'll constantly find yourself in trouble. BTW phone support won't look at your site if its adult.

Make a post asking for a dedicated server. Alot of the reps will try to contact you to make a deal. You'll usually get better pricing than the ones on their main pages.

As for recommendations I would recommend Splitinfinity and the other big companies out there.

Dealing with Sponsor Galleries using commas:

In the import section of your comus there will be a small box called "Delimeter"
You can change the comma into another character. Then just change it back to a comma when you're done with that certain type of import.

Hi ZZ.

What do you recomend at the very begin of the page. Unless the site is small ~1K under which criteria do you manage the trades.

When the site is small it gets small amount of hits from trades. When the amount of traffic coming from a trade is small you cant really judge the traffic productivity adequantly. 10 hits for example are too less in order to say if the prod is good or bad.

1) what is a fair amount to judge a trade regarding its productivity?

Now would you go for click or for trade productivity ? For example if a trade sends me 100 hits but only 20 clicks shall I keep the trade if I only return 20 hits back , basd on pord ?

---
2) When you start off with a small amount of hits you usually cant make it into the top referer list with bigger sites, unless you are trading with small sites.
Now it is known that the more hits you send to a trade the better the traffic is that you will get in return.

I have forgotten what I was intented to ask

Ok the general trading strategy is
1) Add new trades daily
2) Remove bad productive trades
3) repeat that every day

Ok now it can be seen relative when a trade is productive and not and it depends on what kind of productivity you set your focus to TradePord, Click Prod, effectivity ..

what are your thought on that ?

1. If you're trading small such as 10-20 etc. Judge them by whatever they give you. The trade might be good to bigger trades but if its crap for smaller trades and if your a small trade then treat it as such.

If a trade sends you 100 uniques and only 20 click and you send 20 uniques back its not a very good trade. It might seem like your getting the upper hand but your not.

Think of it this way: Out of 100 people there were only 20 clicks that were interested. That means your trades surfers aren't very interested in your site. So they would be even less interested in actually buying from you and your sponsors.

How do you get around all this crap? Such as trading 10-20 uniques at a time? Its simple you buy traffic to generate temporary hits so you can start off with 100+ unique trades.

Always trade with click productivity. It lets you know if that sites visitors are interested in your site. Trading uniques even if you get more than your sending isn't generally good. Why? because you don't know if you're getting crap traffic, uninterested, bots, etc.
