Paxum Official Notice: NO Illegal File-Sharing/Piracy Sites Will Be Accepted!

Both Oron.com and Uploaded.to tried to sign up for Paxum accounts. We identified them in our system, and since Paxum 100% DOES NOT support illegal piracy and illegal file-sharing in any way, we closed both those accounts before they could be used at all.

Since there are quite a lot of these types of sites around, and since we do not know every single one of them by name, we do ask that, should you encounter any such illegal file-sharing/piracy sites using Paxum services, PLEASE notify us IMMEDIATELY so that we can take the necessary steps to cease doing business with such companies.

Thanks in advance for your assistance! :thumbsup

AlCapone 06-12-2012 04:30 PM

Why would you post that here? This isn't a file-sharing or piracy webmaster site.

Solidarity with those being hurt by scumbags.

Great PR move and well executed. Certainly builds trust as well.

WINNING! :thumbsup

Brujah 06-12-2012 05:02 PM

Can Paxum be automated as a payment processor, or is this just a chance to brag as if it is somehow significant and comparable to CCBill?

T34K1DD 06-12-2012 05:07 PM

Good stuff Paxum!

epitome 06-12-2012 05:10 PM

All of the pirates use PayPal anyway.

Nice PR move though.

Nice, 110,782 domains..:Oh crap

V_RocKs 06-12-2012 11:24 PM

Would be splendid if you also denied transactions when people try to use their Paxum card to signup to such sites.

11,790 domains in just the past week alone - there are a heck of lot more filelockers / trading sites than I'd ever imagined.

As with many things, that Google list is a double-edge sword. Can be very useful for CCBill, Paxum, etc to identify sites in advance, in an automated way, that are overly high risk. But also very useful for surfers who stumble upon it ... if one's favorite filelocker / trading site is down or doesn't have what they desire, just try one of the many thousands of others in the list.

Paul Markham 06-13-2012 12:29 AM

Great move Paxum, other processors should take notice.

Won't stop piracy until all processors and advertisers do the same and that will need laws to make them comply.

:2 cents:

That is the thing. These sites should be identified right away and denied. Everyone knows the score with them and knows what they host. It's no mystery.

Kudos to Paxum. That is how it's done.

Black All Through 06-13-2012 04:09 AM

I guess that they'll all have to use ePass!!

No we do not offer 3rd party credit card processing, we can only process credit cards for verified clients to deposit funds directly into their Paxum account. However we do offer P2P transactions to all verified clients, which is how many businesses make payments to their affiliates, employees, advertisers, etc. Many businesses also accept payments via Paxum P2P (such as traffic brokers, hosting providers, etc), and we do have a comprehensive API/IPN in place, plus recurring payments are also available.

Brujah; technically yes, since P2P payments are available between verified Paxum clients, we have an API/IPN, we offer recurring payments, 'pay now' buttons, and all payments are of course, delivered instantly. P2P transactions can be useful in a variety of ways for E-commerce as well as payroll/payments. We simply cannot process 3rd party credit cards, but yes, Paxum can be setup as an automated payment processor for use by verified Paxum clients.

Thanks :)

Tjeezers 06-13-2012 07:24 AM

OK that is making a stand. I can agree with this policy and it protects the hard working affiliate.

RyuLion 06-13-2012 07:26 AM

Paxum FTW!!!!!!!!!

I didn't know that. I'll have to check that out.
