While I don't agree with him, it is a free country and I support his right to say/feel that way. I think he was suspended as a way to placate those who will get pissed off about this, but he will be back. I also don't think this will have much of an affect on their viewership. My understanding is that much of their audience is made up of conservatives and religious people so I would think many of them would agree with him.

Actually, if memory serves, didn't that mullet-wearing "bounty hunter" guy have his A&E TV show suspended for racist remarks over one of his kids marrying or dating a black guy? Anyway, after awhile I think I recall reading that A&E brought his show back after the heat died down.

Since apparently I have to spell it out to some, the humor/irony in the photo that I posted is that the Duck Dynasty apparently sells devices that are intended to sexually (or otherwise) attract ducks, after which the ducks are fucked - literally since they are lured to their death if the hunter is successful, and figuratively with a double entendre suggesting that the ducks are sexually abused, similar to the slippery slope that Robertson made when he suggested any connection whatsoever between supporters of gay rights and supporters of bestiality.

If any of your websites were suggested to be connected to bestiality, I'm sure that you would be equally offended (well, if you were honest with yourself).

Even the people making feeble efforts at attacking me, made jokes about people/themselves sodomizing animals (cow, goats), yet suddenly it is offensive when I post an image mocking much the same thing.

The fact that an "Arts" and Entertainment channel is censoring at all, is hypocritical -- let alone that it puts scripted "reality" shows on its programming at all. Regardless, A&E should be the one channel that champions the arts and freedom of expression, but yet censors everything. Not on this topic but just shit in general I rarely sugar coat anything and I'm sure I've hurt some peoples feelings. Prefer this though so people know where ya stand and it eliminates all the guessing games. Shoot straight and if their butt gets sore most will get over it and sometimes people need to hear reality over what makes them feel good/happy.

The difference in these two would be that Miley can be provocative in dress and action but doesn't make derogatory comments that are actually considered "hate" crimes in some area of the United States, about two types of people - gays and blacks.

So there is quite a bit of difference between acting like a spoiled foulmouthed pop singer and someone using religion as an excuse for hate.

It is two different worlds. Miley is not trying to be a pop star. If she is provocative it is part of the job. She is not on a weekly TV show produced by a network. By comparison, look at when she was on Hannah Montana. Don't kid yourself for a second if you don't think Disney had a lot to say about how she behaved, dressed and even acted outside of the show.

I think the A&E suspension of him was simply a way to help squash some potential backlash and controversy around it. I think he will either release a somewhat vague apology and be back on the show soon or they will just quietly put him back on the show. In the end it is all about money and A&E isn't going to mess with their cash cow.

For the life of me I can't see what people see in this show. I'm not opposed to the guys or the message or any of that, but I tried to watch two episodes to get a taste of it and it was so fake and clearly set up then poorly executed that it was unwatchable.

I think he was suspended as a way to placate those who will get pissed off about this, but he will be back. I also don't think this will have much of an affect on their viewership. My understanding is that much of their audience is made up of conservatives and religious people so I would think many of them would agree with him.
