And I just saw that A&E is reporting that Phil will return to the show on Jan 15th.

Mission accomplished. They got plenty of free publicity, people ran out and bought Duck Dynasty stuff for Christmas as a show of support and the ratings will likely go up. A&E and the Robertsons laugh all the way to the bank.

I think the obvious contradiction is in using the argument of "tolerance" to retaliate against and silence the views and opinions of one you don't agree with. All people are biased, bigoted and prejudiced.. That's a given.

actually he isn't returning but the season that 9 out of 10 EP have already been shot. So while right now he won't be shooting anymore unless A&E brings him back he'll still be in the new EPs that were shot before all this.

I just saw a second story about it and it looks like you are correct. They will be airing new episodes that have him in them in Jan. Of course if they were all that angry with him and worried that he was going to hurt their image they would pull those episodes. But they wont and those episodes will be huge.

Of course he will be back. A&E, like any network cares only about ratings and advertisers. They wanted to make sure that advertisers weren't going to leave the show. Once it became clear that they weren't going to leave then it was all about milking this to get as much ratings as possible.

Actually, it was in the planning for ages and had been filmed before the latest headline grabbing. Evan Stone wins for the best scene in it, for me.

IMO the season premier shows were real weak and didn?t represent past season shows. They probably lost some viewers with those shows.
